I can’t say enough good things about Dr. Yoon and her assistants Sima and Shabez! I had a crown done and the entire experience was fantastic from start to finish. Dr. Yoon is amazing at what she does—so gentle, patient, and clearly very skilled. When she was numbing me the anesthetic worked so efficiently and it was painless. I have a very inflexible work schedule so the office worked with me and accommodated to be able to get a same day crown. Everything was explained, nothing felt rushed, and she was so caring. Highly recommend this practice

I am deeply disappointed by my experience with this dental office and believe their practices raise serious ethical concerns. I initially presented for a routine evaluation and was advised that I required a procedure costing over $2,000, which I was told would most likely not be covered by insurance, though they stated they would "check later." I found it unusual that payment was requested before insurance verification, as every dental office I have previously visited has confirmed coverage prior to charging. Nevertheless, I proceeded in good faith and paid. Over a month later, having heard nothing from the office, I contacted them myself and learned that the procedure was, in fact, covered by my insurance. I was told a refund would be issued. However, no refund materialized. It ultimately required six separate phone calls over the course of three months before I finally received reimbursement, which was issued by check—a method that further delayed resolution. Adding to my concern, I later sought evaluation from my long-standing dentist back home and was informed that the procedure had not been necessary at all. While I understand that treatment philosophies can vary among providers, the combination of recommending an unnecessary procedure, collecting payment prior to insurance verification, and failing to proactively issue a refund is troubling. Most concerning is that had I not independently reviewed my insurance coverage and persistently followed up, I believe I would never have been reimbursed. Patients should not be required to repeatedly advocate for refunds to which they are clearly entitled. This experience reflects a system that prioritizes profit over transparency and patient trust.

Dr. Ku and his top-notch staff are as good as it gets. If you want to stop worrying about your dental health, then make Dr. Ku your new dentist and implant specialist for problem-free, pain- free treatment. His work is flawless, his demeanor is cheerful, and he loves taking pictures. Lots of pictures. He is very thorough in his approach. I highly recommend W Plus Dental of Washington DC.

W Plus is an A plus!!! The staff (including the front desk staff, Shabaz the assistant, and Dr. Ku, who did my work) are sooooo kind and really helped me relax. Got a root canal and felt zero pain and discomfort throughout. Highly recommend!!

My entire experience at W Plus Dental was simply superlative. From the front desk, to the hygienist, to the doctor himself, EVERYONE was courteous, communicative and well-informed. As a new patient, I was impressed with how efficiently I could enter my information into their system using their device. They also gave me the privilege of adjusting my appointment to a slightly earlier time. The equipment, methods and processes were cutting edge and top notch. For the first time, I saw life-like, moveable 3D views of my teeth and gums! The hygienist prepared me painlessly to see the doctor who explained all that was visible on multiple screens. He then described his intended treatment plan and followed it faithfully. Did I mention that I felt literally no pain throughout? That contrasts sharply with some previous experiences I've had and for that I say THANK YOU to everyone at W Plus Dental.
