D Dentistry - Dr. Dilan Munaweera DDS

The best dentist I have ever had. Incredible bedside manners, wonderful skill. Very caring and attentive. I asked a lot of questions and he answered every last one with care and compassion- without getting annoyed. The dental assistants were great. Front office is always very nice. Procedures/suggestions are priced fairly. He really cares about you and your teeth, I’ve never had anyone spend so much time on explaining and suggesting things to me.

I have been going to D Dentistry for a few years now, and the main reason I keep coming back is my dental hygienist, Angelique. I say my hygienist because she truly cares — not just about your dental hygiene, but about you as a person. She is very knowledgeable and always makes you feel comfortable and at ease. She has taken the time to provide recommendations and give me the guidance I needed to improve the health of my gums and teeth. Honestly, if it weren’t for Angelique, I probably would have lost a few teeth by now! She makes sure I come in every three months so I can continue improving my oral health. By far, she is the kindest, most gentle, and most knowledgeable hygienist I have ever had. I truly hope she never leaves! Before Angelique, I was fearful of deep cleanings and the dentist altogether. But because of her kindness and gentle approach, I no longer feel that way. I now feel confident and calm when I go in, knowing I am in good hands.

D Dentistry exceeded every expectation. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming, and incredibly friendly. This was hands down one of the most gentle dental experiences I’ve ever had. The staff was attentive, kind, and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. I was very impressed with Dr Dilan. And their high-tech equipment made the entire visit feel modern, efficient, and seamless. The level of care and precision truly stood out. Dr. Munaweera is meticulous in his attention to detail and takes the time to explain treatment clearly, which builds real confidence in the care you’re receiving. I have an immense fear of dentists. Thankfully my experience here has been so pleasant I do not mind coming in. The folks at D dentistry not only got me in right away when I was experiencing an emergency but they have been kind and accommodating throughout my dental needs. Every staff member is polite and reassuring. Dr. Munaweera is a wonderful and professional provider who is clearly very well educated and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this office for your dental needs!

I moved from out of state and was looking for a dentist that was on par with the dentist I left behind. Based on reviews I was sure that I had found the right one, someone that was highly skilled while possessing a caring and supportive attitude with patients. I have a history of teeth grinding and a healthy gag reflex, so someone who fits my second criteria of caring is a must. Unfortunately this dentist did not come close to making me feel comfortable. In fact he heightened my anxiety by focusing on my clenched fists ( having a gag reflex is a little embarrassing even though it’s a reflexive reaction). Because of my grinding I needed more extensive dental work to be completed. When I came back to the office to have the first crown replaced I did really well only asking the dentist to stop for 15 seconds so I could regroup during the procedure. But this dentist was so put out by the inconvenience of treating someone that has a gag reflex that he insisted that I take nitrous oxide for all future visits. I have never had a doctor insist on this. I was so uncomfortable and demoralized by this man that I vowed never to return. Fast forward to present, I’ve found another dentist that checks all the boxes and I’m continuing treatment there.

I was contacted by the supervisor to schedule an appointment as soon as possible, but I was given an appointment a week later, even though I explained that I do not have a dentist in the U.S. and that my situation was urgent. When I went to the appointment, I was treated very poorly by the front desk staff, who was disrespectful and not friendly at all. She did not show any respect toward patients. On top of that, my appointment was postponed for another week, despite the fact that I had clearly stated from the beginning that this was an urgent matter. A very bad experience due to the unprofessional behavior of the front desk staff and the lack of consideration for the patient’s situation.
