Dental Care of Portland

This is the VERY best dentist I’ve ever gone to, across multiple states over my life time. No other reason to go anywhere else. I would travel across the world to see Dr Bhui if I had to. I have an autoimmune disease that causes severe tooth and gum issues. I have extreme anxiety about the dentist and my teeth are terrible even at just 30 years old. I cannot believe how quickly and practically painlessly Dr. Bhui extracts teeth. It takes him about 15 minutes from start to finish to extract a tooth and preform socket preservation on me. He and his staff are wonderful and put me at ease. He is compassionate in regards to dental anxiety and extremely efficient with his placement of the numbing injections . My last dentist placed over 15 numbing shots and it still hurt, Dr Bhui’s years of experience & competence allows him to preform the procedure so efficiently, I did not feel a thing. My swelling is reduced because of how good he is. I hope he does not retire before i get my dental work done because there’s absolutely no reason to see anyone else. If I could give him 50 stars instead of 5, I absolutely would. His care is transforming my quality of life as my teeth as so bad it makes it hard for me to parent at times because the pain is so severe. Dr Bhui has also done work for my ex husband who has very bad dental issues as well, and bad anxiety, and he amazed both of us with the work he did on my husband as well. Thank you Dr. Bhui and your wonderful team 🩵 his dental assistant is kind and makes me feel at ease as well. These people deserve all the blessings.

Loving my first experience here. Very little pain, if any at all. Pleasant, helpful staff. The doc and the hygienist were very knowledgeable and patient . Overall, 5 out of 5 stars for this very efficient Dental Care of Portland..

Terrible. The receptionist and dental assistants are wonderful and caring and understanding. The dentist himself though, absolutely terrible. He was dismissive and was incredibly rough during the exam and plaque removal. Tore off a chunk of my gum tissue when he should have only been removing plaque. Do not recommend and I will not be returning.

Prabh was a gift from the dental Gods! After messing with my insurance all day every dentist was saying they could not see me until the following day. Not only did she get me in she held the office open 5 mins late for my arrival! X rayed, numbed and tooth pulled in under 30 mins! And some happy pills for the road!

Dental Care of Portland is the dentist of my dreams. I have some special dental needs and am so impressed by how my concerns were treated from the front desk person, to the hygienist, to the dentist. When I went in for the first time I felt vulnerable and a bit fearful after a few bad experiences with past dentists. I told the woman at the front desk about my concerns and she was compassionate and suggested some ideas that made me feel hopeful that my concerns would be met. During my appointment the hygienist and dentist acknowledged my concerns with care; I was relieved not only that they were aware of my situation but clearly had caring attitudes. All staff took time to explain the treatment clearly and answer any questions I had. The dentist numbed my mouth thoroughly and so I felt no pain during my procedure. When I was fearful I felt supported, not judged, and not like a burden. What's more is all staff were very warm and easy to talk to. I just cannot say enough positive things about Dental Care of Portland.

I needed a wisdom tooth pulled and decided to go with this place because of insurance and the reviews. The office was very small which isn’t a big deal but you could hear the conversations happening between the patients and Dr. word for word no problem. Also did you notice I said patients as in multiple? What seemed like was going on is they were double booking appointments and the one Dr. was jumping back and forth between two rooms. Which also wouldn’t be a problem if they weren’t 15-20 mins behind. That was FAR from the worst things that happened during my visit. Because the Dr. was jumping back and forth he left me in the middle of my tooth being pulled to go finish the other patient. He said nothing and left me for about 5-8 mins with my mouth wide open and blood in the back of my throat with no way to spit or swallow. My girlfriend was in the room with me and watched as he left, he took his gloves off and set them down. When he came back he did not grab new gloves but instead put back the ones he had on before. My girlfriend noticed blood run down his wrist showing the gloves were beyond dirty. How much is he saving doing this? Cents? I continued to pull chunks of tooth out of my mouth for about 24 hours afterwards and now over a week after my appointment I just found a big chunk of my pulled tooth in the hole that is trying to close now. By far the worst dental office experience of my life and I’m surprised this place has not been shutdown with the disgusting and appalling sanitary practices this business uses. Also just a bonus story the receptionist had to apologize to another patient about 10 times because she gave him the wrong patients paperwork and only noticed when he took it to the pharmacy and they said it wasn’t him. They don’t even follow HIPAA.
