Camille Markham

The front office staff are very nice. The dentist listened to what I wanted and explained my options. He seemed very knowledgeable. The hygienist had little to say except numbers and then left the room. She didn't tell me what the next step was. I went into the waiting room to speak to the office manager about a treatment plan. People came and went. I finally had to leave to get appliances delivered. They said she'd call me. 2 weeks later she never did. When I called she apologized and said, "so what's your question?" I had to pull teeth to get what was in the plan. It seemed like she was working hard to be polite. When picking times she didn't say what was available on the days bit only have me 1 time. When I asked what other times were available there was one. I think I'm just going to cancel all my future appointments and start over somewhere else. I don't like being treated like an inconvenience. I have never had to chase down my treatment plan and I've never had to ask questions blindly. Other dentist print out the plan, explain it, then ask if I have questions. When I canceled the appointments the OM called me too tell me that she handled it the right way. Not I'm sorry, how can we make it better. She did throw in, I'm sorry, before defending herself. That really fired me up.

I LOVE Susan. She is the heart of the practice. She’s like the welcoming mom and always makes you feel comfortable. I don’t even mind coming to the dentist knowing that she’s there. She is an angel. Thank you for being so kind to me. all of the girls at the front desk are also amazing. Always professional and always very sweet.

I can’t say enough great things about Healthy Smiles! From the moment you walk in, the staff is exceptionally welcoming, knowledgeable, and professional. They make every visit seamless and stress-free. The team is incredibly efficient—I’m always in and out without long waits, yet they never rush through my care. It’s clear they prioritize both quality and convenience, which I truly appreciate. I’ve had crowns put on, cavities filled, and fantastic cleanings, and every experience has been top-notch. If you’re looking for a top-notch dental office that values your time and provides outstanding care, this is the place to go!!!

Do not recommend. I can't speak much to the dentists, but the administrative staff does not do a good job: - Got my phone number wrong, so I did not receive an appointment confirmation. Missed the appointment (that's mostly on me). - I call the office to ask an unrelated question. The receptionist picks up, identifies me, and takes on a negative attitude, saying "Did you know I called you 8 times today?" I asked if they had my phone number right - they did not. I did not receive an apology and was told that I was accountable for a $60 (!!!) missed appointment fee. We rescheduled. Later on, I was able to speak to a different receptionist who recognized the issue with not receiving a confirmation and waived the fee immediately - very disorganized. It seems that I would have been out $60 simply on the whim of one receptionist being annoyed with me about a mistake that the office made themselves. - I call back another day to confirm the rescheduled appointment, got a different receptionist. She checked her system, and the previous receptionist entered it wrong - if I had shown up to my new appointment, they would not have had me on the schedule. - I have an initial exam. The dental assistants are good with the X-rays. My wisdom teeth are badly impacted and need to be extracted soon. Dr. Gajjar spoke to me for about 5 minutes, pointing things out on the X-rays regarding my wisdom teeth, briefly describing the procedure, and then leaving. I go to the desk and am offered a CareCredit plan to pay for the $975 out-of-pocket price with insurance. I take the plan. Spoiler alert - I ended up not going with Healthy Smiles for the extraction. As such, I needed to cancel this payment plan. I had to call the office three times to have the CareCredit plan cancelled - twice, I was promised a call back that I did not get. The third time, the question was just, "Did you call CareCredit?" after the last person I spoke to said that I would need to speak to the Healthy Smiles receptionist who set me up with the plan. She just said "hold on" and abruptly put me on hold and transferred me to some unknown person who was finally able to close the plan out. - As we're in open enrollment season, I figured out that I could get a better price on a new dental insurance plan in January. I get my treatment plan and show it to my insurance person. She's surprised - half of the items regarding my extraction on my treatment plan were not billed to insurance, meaning I would have paid significantly more than I needed to if this was caught. I cancel the procedure in light of this and to get a second opinion. - The other dentist let me know that my situation is fairly typical and that it is up to the individual dentist's level of comfort with oral surgery - if they're not up for it, they would refer to you an oral surgeon, meaning that the dentists wouldn't get a nice payout for the procedure. This other dentist referred me to an oral surgeon. It concerns me that Dr. Gajarr spent such little time evaluating my needs and was still confident to do an oral surgery including a bone graft on his own. That paired with the negative attitude and frequent, significant mistakes on the part of the administrative staff caused me to take my business elsewhere. All in all, avoid Healthy Smiles - they seem comfortable making significant mistakes that will cost you a great deal of time and money. When it comes to something as permanent, expensive, and potentially debilitating as your dental healthcare, this is not a risk you want to take.
