Young Family Dental Orem

I called to schedule my appointment and specifically asked about the cost. I was asked for my insurance information and was told that the visit would be fully covered. Two weeks ago, I had my evaluation for a dental cleaning. During that appointment, I was informed that I needed a deep cleaning and was told to return in two weeks. Again, I asked about the cost and was reassured that the cleaning would be covered by my insurance. Today, after the procedure was completed, I was unexpectedly charged $400. My main concern is the lack of transparency. When a patient asks about pricing, they deserve clear and accurate information so they can make an informed decision and determine whether the treatment fits their budget. Being charged only after the procedure is completed, despite prior reassurances, is very disappointing. When I expressed my concern, I was told that the receptionist that day was new and may not have known. However, I do not believe that is an appropriate explanation. Patients should not bear the financial consequences of internal miscommunication or staff training issues. Unfortunately, this was not a good first experience.

Jared and Dr John Gervasi were so amazing. They walked me through everything and made sure that I was comfortable and understood everything that was happening. I would highly recommend them. I truly cannot say enough about how amazing they were. I would give them both 100 stars if I could.

This dentist office is absolutely amazing. The entire staff, reception, dentists, dental assistants etc are so professional and so REAL. I really appreciate that so much. Everyone is kind and makes you feel relaxed and welcome and comfortable. They do great work. They are great listeners and they care a lot about your teeth and well being and getting those pre authorizations taken care of promptly for you etc. Amazing work. I got my first appt out of 3 for my full mouth’s plan- work.. can’t wait for the next! Gosh I love this place. God is so good. Thanks Young Dental!! Much respect and gratitude. Happy Holidays! We had such a great experience at Young Family Dental Orem. The entire staff was welcoming, patient, and genuinely kind from the moment we walked in. The office is clean, modern, and very family-friendly, which immediately put us at ease. The dentist took the time to explain everything clearly and never made us feel rushed or pressured. They were especially wonderful with kids—calm, gentle, and great at making the visit feel fun instead of scary. It’s obvious they truly care about their patients and their comfort. We’re so happy to have found a dental office we can trust and will absolutely be coming back. Highly recommend for families looking for excellent, compassionate dental care!

Dr. Gervasi is amazing. He made my son feel comfortable while he was getting his cavities filled and the reason why he has so many cavities is because he's so scared to go to the dentist and he's actually okay with going back to finish up what we started so that has to say a lot. I'm very grateful that he was very attentive and made sure that he wasn't hurting the entire time. Kept checking on him. It was great! We will definitely keep coming back to Young family dental!

Young dental has some really good dental staff. Recently I had made an appointment in December of 2025 for February 6, 2026. On 2/6/2026 and scheduled time of 2:00pm I arrived at the clinic. Went to check in and found my appointment was not on the schedule. Asked what day was I suppose to be here? Found out it was changed to 2/5/2026. Rescheduled for 2/11/2026. Called back when I got home because the text I received stayed 2/6/2026 2.00. and was told then that my appointment was at 1:30pm on 2/6/2026. Went in on 2/11/2026 and asked what happened to the txt appointment. Had a lady come up front from around the corner and told me that the process had changed a month ago. If I do it confirm the appointment it will cancel . Not sure how I would know that but the way txt message they send out does not have a confirmation request on the txt. Rude lady that seemed to be empowered some how but not the office manager! Again great staff in most all cases but this one. If she ear hustles a conversation she will chime in with her opinion… Shoulder length black hair women with light blue and brown eyes. Appears nice but pushy tone and attitude once she starts talking to you.

Worst customer service, defensive rude for no reason . Having to deal with insensitive Alma bad attitude and communication style sucks. Just as others warn short and sassy . Please have someone more nice or even just willing to answer phones & schedule . Yes I know she is upholding polices probably but she can do it respectfully or at least better attitude.
