Prime Dental

I have had perhaps six (mostly cleaning) appointments with Dr. Kim over the past eighteen months and I like him and trust his opinion. Impressively, he cleans my teeth himself (rather than have a hygienist). He has been very thorough and knowledgeable in our discussions which I appreciate. I am grateful that he correctly diagnosed an emergency condition I had a year ago that was solved with a round of antibiotics which took care of an unexpected Infection under a crown. The last two times I was there he ran late by over thirty minutes and I asked the receptionist to consider calling or texting patients who are otherwise at work to let them know so that they do not sit in the office waiting to be seen when they could be working. I have read the other comments below about the receptionist and I would just say that if you treat her with kindness and respect that she will do likewise. In other words, treat others as you yourself would like to be treated...and remember, we all have bad days once in awhile; so be kind.

Have a great experience for someone who was traumatized at an early age. Going to visit the dentist was not rewarding. However at 57 my experience at Prime Dental was a great one. The Dentist was professional and knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. I recommend this Dental Clinic to everyone.

This has been my second visit to prime dental within the last three years. Both times I visited because of an emergency extraction needed. Now I found prime dental through my dental insurances IN network providers/ alliances . Yet when I visited prime dental, they told me they could not extract the tooth (which they had done before) and then proceeded to refer me to another oral clinic way out of whack (IN THE BRONX??? 😩😂) mind you there is another oral clinic right around the corner from them on 106th St. And not to mention the receptionist, she was exceptionally rude . The heavyset lady with the cut off sideburns and freckles. She was literally being mean to everyone of color, rolling her eyes making faces, cutting into conversations, she lied and told the doctor that I did not have insurance which I did! There was a woman there for emergency and when woman walked out on the appointment, the receptionist put her arm up and did a yes gesture! Rude I think she needs to be replaced. Dr. Kim is who I went to see yesterday . And I don’t think he is a bad doctor. I think that he is overwhelmed and they are understaffed because he was dealing with multiple people at one time and he seemed flustered as if he didn’t want to take another big task. Please going to this location. I do not exaggerate. I love yourself and love your providers. 🧚🏽‍♀️

Great dental experience here! The dentist and his team were extremely kind and explained every part of the process to me as they did it. I appreciated how communicative the dental assistants were throughout the entire process. My only critique is for the front desk woman, as she lacks phone etiquette and could stand to utilize more professional verbiage when speaking to patients.

I highly do not recommend this place, one of the receptionist there is probably one of the worst receptionist I’ve ever encountered in my entire life. She is so disrespectful and unprofessional. Not only was she the same receptionist that told me they had a problem with verifying my specific insurance (mind you I work for the federal government for the past six years and my dental coverage is covered in all states) , she gave me an appointment that I had no knowledge of, while I was out the country, never told me that my insurance was verified until after I had to call my insurance and question why the listed provider that they gave me was claiming that something was wrong with my insurance, she never told me I even had an appointment. Then had me dismissed by Dr. Kim. When I asked to speak to Dr. Kim due to the fact that I have an opened root canal that he needed to put a cap on, she was very rude kept cutting me off and stating that he’ll call me back. When I asked if he would be in the office the next day, she said no. When I asked if he would be in the office the following day she said no. Now Dr. Kim is in that practice almost every day so I know she’s lying, so I will be coming to the office today June 3 and reporting her to Dr. Kim myself. I like the younger girl who is usually there she’s more of respectful and kind and considerate, but the older Spanish looking female is so rude and disrespectful. Not only that, but they do not take you during your appointment time. Although Dr. Kim, is a good dentist, a lot of his staff will make you never wants to step foot here because of how unprofessional they speak to you . You still have to wait an excessive amount of time after your appointment due to the fact that they book 3 to 4 different appointments at the same slot. I’m going there to not only report her but to be getting my medical records so I can go to a more professional dental Group. Go here at your own risk.
