I struggle with acne scarring and booked a new patient acne consultation. The doctor entered the room, said she does not specialize in acne scarring, and promptly left the room (didn’t allow for any questions). The entire interaction was less than 3 minutes. She sent me off with a tretinoin sample, yet no instruction around how to use it (I have since learned it is a strong topical treatment that can cause peeling and flaking if applied incorrectly). I work a client facing job and came to the derm to improve my facial texture, but her carelessness nearly resulted in a worse, potentially dangerous situation had I not googled what she prescribed. She seemed too busy to stay for a real consultation, or even to direct me to the right place. Waste of time and money.

I booked an appointment with one of their fairly senior doctors. They instead switched me to a junior doctor without asking me who incorrectly diagnosed my problem and used a laser that didn’t do anything for my problem.

I heard Dr Belkin on Martha Stewart’s podcast and decided to fly from Tx to New York for a consult ! I’m so glad I did he is super knowledgable and trustworthy I wish he had a practice in Dallas !

Dr. Colbert is an excellent dermatologist with an artists approach to tasteful aesthetics while simultaneously ensuring the utmost health of the skin. The best in the industry.

I made an appointment at NYDG with an in-network provider to receive a skin check for skin cancer. NYDG rescheduled me with a different provider, since the one I made the appointment with was not in the office. This doctor turned out to be out of network, and was dismissive about my concerns of family history of skin cancer. The skin check was not at all thorough compared to my experience with other dermatologists, and ending up costing me $500 out of pocket (well above the average cost for a skin check) because of the rescheduling with the new doctor.

I had a great experience here, which is no surprise. Dr. Perlmutter is my derm of choice ever since she removed a mole I had on my face 10 years ago. I don't go often, but especially for any procedure I trust her completely. Her demeanor is friendly and focused, and she answers every question thoroughly and patiently. Wait time was nothing, and her assistants and the front office staff were extremely helpful, welcoming and informative. Recommend!

Dr. Belkin and Dr. Castilla are fantastic. Michelle and all Dr. Belkin's nurses are professional and kind. I am so happy to have found them all.
