For example, when I was getting impressions for my upper teeth, it was very helpful to have Mary beside me. I am very nervous about the gooey stuff overflowing and running to the back of my throat. I had a prior experience when this happened a long time ago and it got so uncomfortable that I couldn’t breathe normally, and I started choking; it was awful. Mary’s calming nature and bedside manners helped me through it. Getting these impressions right was an essential part of the process. First time at ocean smiles and everything went great. Staff was nice and accommodating. Dr. Chen was super nice and honest; he didn't try to sell or add unnecessary things how other dentists I've been to in the past have. Best dentist in the area hands down, I went in with an issue with an area on my gums. The staff were real polite and my experience with the dentist was great! I felt comfortable when I was being worked on. I’ve been to other dentist where they’re very rough, this man takes his time and is very thorough. I recently moved to the area and was looking for a dentist after finally getting dental insurance. I came across "ocean smiles" that is 5min away from my home. I called to set up an appointment, first off receptionist was very friendly she explained the process, and she answered all my questions that I had. I was excited to finally see an dentist after a long period of time of not having dental insurance, but also a little nervous. Dr Chen made me feel extremely comfortable and safe, he explained every little detail of what was going to be needed and the process of everything which made me feel 100x better about my visit. Also I want to add, everyone in this office was so kid friendly my 2 year old son even enjoyed being there. I would definitely be going back. I will also be recommending Dr. Chen to my family members and friends!
