Customer Reviews
Kroger has a rating of 4.1 out of 5 based on over 879 reviews on Google
Shopping at Kroger used to be enjoyable, but now it feels like the company is testing how much inconvenience customers will accept. Long lines at the one staffed register, frustrating QR codes, and heavy reliance on self-checkout have made the experience stressful instead of convenient. Please bring back more traditional checkout options and prioritize customer satisfaction. Relying on customers to use the app and self check out doesn’t seem like you all care
This is probably one of the worst managed grocery store I've seen in awhile! Have no doubt, im talking about the Kroger in State of Franklin! Produce always, always stinks! There isn't one time I have gone in and not found something rotten! Its obvious they are not rotating product! Deli is just plain out boring and never, not once has anyone ever spoken to me! Now to my BIGGEST COMPLAINT! FROZEN FOOD! If you wonder why your biscuits, chicken tenders, tator tots, (and the list goes on) are always frozen together or has ice on them, it's because they wheel out a pallet or 2 🥴 out at a time to stock. Nobody can stock quick enough to get it all up before it thaws! Then, after being stocked, the product re-freezes! This IS NOT proper food care!!!!! I have spoken to management only to go in in the next FF day to see it being done the same way! Obviously, this isn't a big enough concern to management to address! Maybe when the health inspector comes in and sticks a thermometer in one of the boxes on the bottom, something will change! Until then, I don't buy any FF or ice cream at this location! 10/4/25. Once again, pallet of ice cream. I was able to feel the ice cream at the bottom and, trust me, you don't want to buy 11/18/25 Once again FF sitting in the middle of the aisle. The ice cream was melted and the prepared meals were thawed! Management doesn't seem to care at all.! I spike with the FF clerk about this and his statement to me was "FDA allows it to be out for 3 hours". This is total bull and I told him that! I also pointed out the melted ice cream and the ff meals that were thawed and he still continued to stock! Yall are gonna make someone really sick doing this! I called the store and spoke with Brittany who said she was an assistant manager. She acted very concerned and said she would handle it. On a positive note, at least somebody spoke to me today. Thank you Donnie in the meat department for being so kind. 11/24/25. This store must be having Corporate in today because I have never seen so many employees and managers in the store. This includes a lady named Jennifer, I believe to be the store manager. Like I mentioned before, the managers don't care about food safety at all! If they did, this problem with Frozen Food would have been handled the first time it was brought to their attention! Again, Frozen Food wheeled out on a pallet which is sitting there in the middle of the aisle. I decided not to bring it up again to the boy stocking it, cause I feel like I'm wasting my breath with them. While I'm that aisle, I also observed the young man stocking and he was NOT rotating any product. Obviously, the store manager being in the store made no difference to them. I have attached ANOTHER picture of the pallet on the floor! Buy and eat their frozen food at your own risk.
This store does not close at 11pm. They need to change their hours to 10:30-10:45. I am more than frustrated. I have came here 3 times and this has happened. The first time it happened it was 3 minutes until 11 so I was understanding. But 10 minutes early isn’t ok with the customers. Just change the hours of operations. This is unacceptable to say the least. Now sitting here writing this review I watched them let 2 ppl walk in and they didn’t have Kroger attire on. I could have went to food city or Walmart instead of waisting my time here. Well I should have learned after the 1st time but now I definitely learned to not come back. This store isn’t reliable.
This store is such trash. Limited employees, self check outs that don't work right. This is why Publix is killing you and eating your soul. I will say I am a fan of their meat department. Thank you for the 5 and 1/2 lb bone-in ribeye I got last week with the $2.40 sticker on it. It was right next to one of equal size for $60. Keep up the good work!!!
A well moderated store in my opinion. The people in Frozen are nice, and the shelves are stocked good not just there, but everywhere else usually. Love the new Ben and Jerry's! Produce was great, I love the yellow onions for my beef stew 🙂
I went in to grab some New York steaks that were on sale, and they were so thin they might as well be tissue paper. I asked the butcher, "Can you cut me some thicker steaks?" He actually had the audacity to say, "Oh no, we don’t do that anymore." I said, "WHAT? You don’t cut steaks?" He goes, "No. That’s the way they come in. That’s the way we sell them." Are you kidding me?! Who in their right mind wants a half-inch New York steak? No wonder they were rotting on the shelf—nobody wants them! How utterly ridiculous, incompetent, lazy, and insane is that?! From now on, I’m buying my meat at Food City. They’ll cut it, grind it, do anything you ask. Unlike these absolute clowns who can’t even sell a proper steak.
Visiting TN. This store was clean. Workers wore masks, thank you. Pretty well stocked considering. Good variety in bakery, deli. Liked their prices. Starting today they don't give back full coin change due. Apparently Covid 19 has effected the Federal Reserve's coins. Go figure.
