I have been a patient at Gentle Dental De Lago for many years. I had my first oral surgical experience yesterday with Periodontist, Dr. Kallous. He and his assistant worked incredibly well together, doing the surgery like a well orchestrated dance. All the while putting my anxiety at ease. Jackie at the front desk and Larissa in billing are always professional and efficient. Grateful to Gentle Dental De Lago.

I got a filling yesterday from Monica, the dental assistant, and Dr. Merchant. They lived up to their name and provided gentle, quality care. Dr. Merchant took his time and did a good job (I’ve been to a lot of dentists before). He also did not push me to any unnecessary treatments, which is unfortunately a pretty common practice in San Diego (I’ve noticed since I moved here). The front office communication/coordination could be better, but I can see they are trying to improve.

Manny was welcoming from the moment I arrived — friendly, knowledgeable, and with just the right sense of humor to make the visit feel comfortable and easy. He explained each step clearly and answered my questions with confidence, which made me feel well-informed and relaxed. Dr. Dutta was equally outstanding — gentle, thorough, and very professional. She took her time to go over my treatment plan and made sure I understood everything before proceeding. You can tell she genuinely cares about her patients and takes pride in her work. Together, Manny and Dr. Dutta make a great team — warm, skilled, and attentive. I left feeling cared for and completely confident in the quality of my dental care. Dr Duda is an excellent dentist. She has done extremely complex and thorough procedures on my teeth. She is a wonderful person and so is her staff. Extremely knowledgeable and efficient, too. Her business manager didn’t laugh at me after I told her that the only resources I had was my insurance. That was a first.
