Customer Reviews
Third Avenue Bronx Dental P.C. has a rating of 2.5 out of 5 based on over 70 reviews on Google
The receptionist was very polite, and I checked in without any issues. I arrived early since this location mostly operates on a walk-in basis and is first-come, first-served, so I expected a wait. However, the main issue was the temperature inside the building. It is February, and the weather is extremely cold, yet there was no proper heating. Patients were literally shaking while waiting, and the indoor temperature felt almost the same as outside. There was only one small heater available, which was clearly not sufficient for the number of people waiting. This situation is very uncomfortable and unacceptable, especially during harsh winter weather. The facility should ensure adequate heating so patients can wait safely and comfortably. Other than that, the care I received was excellent—an A+ experience overall. I hope improvements to the heating are made soon.
PLEASE DO NOT GO HERE! If I can give this place zero stars, I would. My mother had a horrible experience here. She simply expressed that she couldn’t open her mouth with the work that was done. She was then accused of not paying for the procedure when she in fact paid out of pocket for this work to be done. Thankfully, she had the receipts on her to prove she paid. The receptionist goes to the back. The rude receptionist comes back and handed my mother a check. No explanation or anything. When my mother asked what the check was for, the receptionist told her that the dentist is refunding her and that she needs to go to another dentist. She informed my mother that the dentist is no longer going to do her teeth, cleaning, or anything. I have never heard of any doctor ever doing this. For speaking up? For saying that she couldn’t close her mouth with the teeth that were done for her? Horrible customer service and terrible bed side manners from a dentist. Please avoid this place and find yourself a dentist that actually cares for patients. Pathetic! ———————————————— Updated: & this is why you have the reviews you have! Spreading false information. That was not explained to her and she was not using the molars for months. Liars! How about you stop replying so condescending to your patients experience and go learn some bed side manners. I find it extremely hard to believe that the doctor is responding to these reviews with such poor grammar.
Appointments time are set but not honored they take who ever is there and do not go by set appointment times !! I went in to get my teeth cleaned was there 10:45 for a 11 o clock appointment and had waited till 3pm I got home @4mp and could not eat and discovered my teeth were partially clean and the dentist knocked a filling out of my from left tooth ! Me entire week was ruined now I have to find a new good dentist that actually fix issues and not create more to make you come back !
Dr. Kim is unprofessional and I will be reporting him to the office of professions. He refused to put my crown on because I told him he wasn't addressing my pain, rather than asking me to just put the crown on my tooth , apparently that would fix my pain. Well Dr. KIM I ended up seeing a new dentist the same day and now I have to get an apicoectomy or root-end surgery due to the second opinion finding the source of my pain which was having plaque/bacteria/infected tissue built up in my gums!! The new dentist ended up going inside my gums and scrapping it out & told me this! The new dentist ended prescribing me mouth wash and glad I advocated for myself to get antibiotics because it was needed but as per Dr. Kim it wasn't. I will report his nasty attitude and abandonment of service to the office of professions!!! and oh pain is subjective its not what you think is what the patient says & YES DR KIM YOU DID NOT ADDRESS MY PAIN!! Do not come to this place ... Just take your money and go to a dentist who will be compassionate, caring, understanding and non judgmental!
Dr. Kwang Kim is so rude and unprofessional I came in today for a root canal and when he went to give me the numbing needle I slightly moved and he became very upset I told him it hurt and he goes to say YOU people always think it’s not supposed to hurt and I said what do you mean by that he goes on saying I don’t need to do this. Very unprofessional and zero compassion for his patients!!!!
I been going to this dentist since I was a kid. The old man left which I understand he went into retirement. I had facial pain and the new dentist kept saying my teeth are fine and saw I needed like one root canal. A Year was going by fast and EVERYDAY I had facial pain and got checked for everything. I decided to go the NYU suggested by two doctors I've seen. Guess what? I have five cavities yet this dentist said I didn't I got all of it done and my facial pain subsided. I went for a quick check here over a tooth pain and the dentist came in stood behind my chair while the assistant he was supervising told me "You had pain and came in constantly a year prior. What makes it different now than a year ago?". That got me livid. Instead I just went to NYU emergency dentist and they saw my last back tooth needed fill in. So before you come here just think about it because this dentist made me suffer over stuff he didn't see but another dentist saw. Oh and the wait times are very long too first come first serve or appointment
I have read allot of bad reviews about this dentist and it's just crazy. The only thing I would agree on is the wait, the wait is crazy, but worth it, if your getting your root canal done or a filling, anything that requires a numbing. The asian Dr. (The owner) is The BEST! He has technic that is different but allows you to feel virtually nothing at all. If you're a nervous patient like me of course you're brain is going to tell you you're feeling something. It's your nerves, but he is great. If your waiting for hours to get seen it's because everyone waits for him! No questions we wait! I recommend a few of my co workers here and my mom. The staff is always pleasant. Your attitude is your hang up not theirs.
