Kroger

During a recent visit to the Kroger store located at 1401 N Main Street in Suffolk, VA 23434, I observed a significant mold growth on the ceiling. The mold was highly visible, unsightly, and appeared to have been present for an extended period. Upon speaking with others familiar with the situation, I learned that the mold was discovered several days ago, yet no remediation efforts have been taken. It is especially alarming that store management was made aware of the issue shortly after it was identified, but as of today, it remains completely untouched. This lack of response raises serious concerns regarding the store’s adherence to basic health and safety standards. The mold not only presents a potential hazard to customers and employees particularly those with respiratory sensitivities but also suggests a troubling level of negligence. The fact that management has been informed and has chosen not to act underscores a disregard for public safety. Frankly this is not just an oversight, it reflects a failure in operational responsibility and accountability. Subsequently, this location has had ongoing issues that have made it an increasingly unpleasant place to shop. The front end is often chaotic and signs of chronic understaffing are evident. While these may be operational challenges failing to address a known mold hazard after being notified is far more serious. It sends a message of indifference toward both staff and customer well-being. I am genuinely concerned for the safety of the employees who work in these conditions daily and for the health of every customer who walks through the doors. I urge immediate action to resolve this issue and to prevent further risks to public health.

God awful service , James worjing customer service desk is extremely unhelpful. I walked up to the counter and told him I wanted to pay a bill he starts looking at me like I'm stupid with an attitude asking me all kinds of questions that are not necessary to pay a bill he's intentionally trying to find ways to not serve me absolutely ridiculous he's not helpful he doesn't want to find a solution to serving the person who walked in the store to get services from Kroger...will never be back . . You should not be working for Kroger . 0 willingness to help

Krogers is one of the stores I enjoy shopping at because they maintain a clean atmosphere to shop and it is not chaotic. Although I wish that Kroger had more health friendly products. So, many people have high blood pressure from all of the high sodium content foods retail stores provide, but there are a few of us that prefer, not to continue eating things that make us sick. A few items in the snack areas and healthy snack areas with low or no salt would be great. And if they sale, then Kroger gets a win as well as your customers.

PRODUCE,CUSTOMER SERVICE and SALES ASSOCIATES! Those three wonderful words! It's what Kroger hasn't forgotten in today's awful recession! I love Kroger thank you for not forgetting how to scan groceries lol

Guy at the meat counter was really nasty. All he wanted to do was play on his phone with his headphones in and not tend to his customers. He wouldn't make any meat cuts despite having plenty of slabs available. He was the guy with very long dreads. He had a very bad attitude, not customer service worthy in my opinion. I had to repeat myself several times because of his blatant disregard for what I had to say- shouldn't be wearing headphones while tending to customers.

Guess they're just throwing it in the bag altogether now. Hard to put up in the fridge like this, all on top of each other! Pickle jars falling all out the bag and out of the back door. The curbside lady had the worst scowl Ive seen in awhile and even told her to have a nice day with her stank attitude. Getting fed up with this tired behavior out of grown folks! Fidna move all my prescriptions and start picking up in another part of town where folks have better sense! I'll drive and pay more!

I do not recommend doing a Kroger pick up order from here. Since we started coming here in March of 2025….(it’s not August 2025) I’ve had at least 5 terrible experiences with them. Countless times forgetting items, multiple times of me having to come back. Multiple times of employees taking over a half hour to bring my items out, especially when I’m the only car waiting. Employees being short and rude. I’ve worked grocery before, I understand it’s a crappy job. But there must be training issues, staff issues, something. I’ve never had as many bad experiences as I have had here with grocery pick up. I’m going elsewhere from now on.
