The Kura Door

I loved my experience with Kura Door yesterday! Shout out to Cosette (highly recommended for the Samurai Massage) and Alexis (highly recommended for facials in general) - these ladies made my day so relaxing and wonderful. This cute facility is tucked in the Avenues neighborhood and while there isn’t a ton of parking in the lot, it’s not too difficult to find a spot on the street within a reasonable walking distance. The staff was really nice and the facility was clean and sanitized - both big wins in my book. There are also lot of different offerings to be customized to your liking and you can spend time at the steam room or quiet rooms with light snacks, water, and tea options. I loved every minute here and can’t wait to go back!

Wow…truly an incredible experience at Kura Door! Amanda was an amazing massage therapist and Monica gave me one of the best facials I have ever had. These ladies pay great attention to detail and are so caring with clients. Next time I am in Salt Lake I will definitely prioritize coming back to Kura Door!

I absolutely love the Kura Door. I have received wonderful treatments from Alexis for several years now and even though I have been living away for a few years now I always check her availability when I am in town. She is amazing and this spa is an experience that once you go you will know why it is one of Salt Lake Cities best kept secrets. If someone wants to buy you a gift certificate tell them to buy it for you here! A gift certificate here is a great gift idea for all that you love.

Love the staff at Kura. I’ve been getting microcurrent facials done for almost one year. Alexis (Lexi) is now someone I rely on and look forward to seeing for my facials every other month. From the beginning, she made me feel calm/relaxed while providing education to help get the best results possible. I have people constantly asking about my skin care routine. I would highly recommend her and a microcurrent facials series.

If you have the privilege of seeing Alexis, You will have one of the best facials of your life. I even went to school to learn facials and the level of care and detail that she takes is beyond what I even could’ve imagined. There truly is nobody like her when it comes to conversation and intentionality with your service. I will forever highly recommend Lexi!

Fathers Day Surprise! 90 minute couples massage. We were impressed with the ambience from the moment we walked in. We made reservations ahead of time and they were ready for us. Kura Door specializes in taking you into a relaxed element. The bathroom was clean, tidy. They have one shower and one bathroom to use, several lockers. You shouldn’t expect a crowd so the limited stalls didn’t bother me. The waiting room has a quiet room to wait in, or they offer a sauna you may use while you wait. (I recommend the sauna). In addition they offer refreshments while you wait, darling treats I’d recommend. We favored our massage compared to going to the Grand America. The massage table is a lot more comfortable than the Grand America. I recommend warming the table at its highest. The price was reasonable as well, again less than The Grand America. I am comparing due to us always booking at the hotel. We will on occasion pre-book here now. I would disregard sour-patches that leave sour reviews for Kura Door. Everyone has their opinion and personally it’s a Karen who leaves unfair reviews.
