I wanted to say that I been to the Ulta hair salon in 82 Promenade in Edgewater NJ a couple of times to do my hair . Both times I made an appointment with Lady Moran.. She is an excellent hairdresser, very knowledgeable , professional and very nice. I am very pleased with her service, she always do my hair exactly the way I like it. Thumbs up 👍 to her. Thank you Lady. I appreciate you.

This visit completely changed my mind about where I shop for beauty products! The Ulta associates (Yeilyn and Mayelin) were incredibly helpful, honest, and took the time to walk me through a skincare routine that fit my needs. No pressure—just genuine help and great energy. I usually go to Sephora, but between the long lines and this amazing experience, I’ll definitely be shopping at Ulta more often!

I have been going to this Ulta for about ten years at the very least. I have had my haircut there regularly though I don’t have a name to reference bc all the stylists there now are unfamiliar to me. I love the size of the store. The layout is great. They generally have full stock of items so you can actually buy the correct colors for foundation. They always have back stock. City place is a great location with many shops and eateries so you can spend a nice afternoon shopping and feeding your appetite. It’s set up with gorgeous view from certain restaurants. Parking is great below and I would not bother waiting for a spot to open. Below there’s a full lot and an elevator for wheelchair access.

Salon review for a blowout I have fine and very straight long hair, I would say I have a healthy amount of hair. and before starting , I told my stylist I’ve had my hair turn straight very quickly when professionally curled before. I asked to try to get a blowout with some bounce, volume, and curl. I think she did a nice job with her technique of washing, blow drying and curling, and I even left with my hair still pinned up curls to try to let it set a little bit before I went to my party, but unfortunately the style didn’t even last an hour, back to straight hair . I noticed she did not apply any heat protectant or blowout prep styling product before blowing out , and after blowing out each strand she sprayed each curl lightly with a redken medium hold hairspray. (I would have assumed it should have been a strong hold needed, and a lot more of it than the small amount she used .. but hey I’m not the expert) . I don’t think product wise, what she used was enough to keep my style , especially when I told her in advance that my hair easily goes back to straight. (See picture, hair does not have any volume or curl, at the party I went to 2 hours after being styled, and I had left the curls pinned up for about an hour when I left. Basically almost as straight as my natural hair) When paying, someone else checked me out and asked if I wanted to tip, I said sure please add 20%. So he said out loud, ok I’ll add $14 then. Without thinking I said sure, but when I walked away I realized $14 is way more than 20%. (The service itself was $45… so $14 is like a 31%tip ) but I didn’t want to take away a tip I already gave so I just let it go. I will still give the salon another try because I think they have friendly stylists and I like the ulta store itself , but maybe next time I will try a senior stylist, or I will see if they work better on my daughters hair type which is totally different than mine. And I will do my own math for my tipping .

I just had a horrible and very discriminatory experience at this Ulta. I have a disability named lymphedema in my left leg. I have been advised by doctors to not walk more than 300 feet. I called ULTA customer service and let them know that i placed a pick up order and asked if someone in the store could just bring it out if that’s something they offer. She said ABSOLUTELY and the ULTA employees there should be happy to help. So I went to ULTA and parked right outside the door. I called and asked and when the person came outside he was very rude to me. His tone and the way he said "we normally don’t do this and this is the only time" just rubbed me the wrong way. He asked to see my ID and as he was viewing I let him know I have a disability and I’m not just lazy…. He just gave me a look and said "yeah uh huh goodbye" and walked back in the store. I will NEVER go to this ULTA again. I don’t appreciate the mean girl vibe and I really hope that ULTA as a brand isn’t okay with someone they hired treated people with disabilities that way. Not cute. Bringing this to corporate 👍

Stephanie with Clinique is absolutely FANTASTIC! She is sweet and such an expert. My daughter and I went to her last week before an event, she was so patient and so knowledgeable that I switched from Mac and loaded up on Clinique products. She also did my make up and it was the best that I have had in a decade at least!!! I felt brand new and would highly recommend her

I booked an appointment this past Saturday for my baby shower with Devyn. She was amazing, she blew me away with how beautiful she did my makeup. I got compliments the whole night. She’s really nice and does an amazing job. She made sure I was comfortable and was very knowledgeable. I will definitely be recommending her and going to see her again.
