Best little coffee/dessert stop in the heart of Skokie Downtown! Caramel Machiatto was perfect! They have sweet and savory options!! Perfect for breakfast/brunch or simply dessert!
I walked in expecting just another neighborhood chai latte kinda spot but was immediately blown away by the menu. Kashmiri chai, gulab jamun cheesecake, chicken tikka twisted bread.. its halal?! The atmosphere is welcoming, comfortable, and has an upscale vibe. Service is exceptional. Layla, a Palestinian sister offered great recommendations, made engaging conversation and I walked away feeling like I've found my new neighborhood hangout! Overall the Reserve is a clean, quiet, sophisticated cafe to bring friends and family. Highly recommend! Definitely excited to try the chicken tikka twisted bread next time I'm there, which will probably be very soon. PS: Thanks for the book recommendation Layla!
This place was such a cute little spot, drinks are a bit too sour if u get them but the whole dessert and food thing was delicious! Me and my friends had a fun time and Amy was a super sweet server! If you can please give her a raise!! <3
Sweet Reserve has quickly become one of my absolute favorite cafés in town. From the moment you walk in, you can feel the vibe — warm lighting, a cozy yet modern layout, and that inviting smell of freshly brewed coffee and pastries that makes you want to stay awhile. It’s not so loud that you can’t relax or have a good conversation. The menu is excellent — plenty of creative coffee options, teas, and snacks that taste just as good as they look. My personal favorite is their Matcha Raspberry muffin and 5-Grain beet salad, but honestly, everything I’ve tried so far has been top-notch. You can tell they care about quality, from the beans they use to the presentation of every cup. What really makes Sweet Reserve stand out, though, is the service. The staff here go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, and it never feels forced. Special shoutout to Omar and Junaid — these two are an absolute highlight of the café. They’re not only quick and efficient at what they do, but they’ve got the kind of personalities that make you actually look forward to ordering. Both of them are ridiculously charming, friendly, and very welcoming. Between their sense of humor, their professionalism, and just their overall presence, they turn a regular coffee run into something you want to repeat. It’s rare to find a spot that nails both the product and the people, but Sweet Reserve manages to do it perfectly. Whether you’re stopping by to grab a drink on the go, meeting friends for a catch-up, or just looking for a comfortable spot to relax, this place delivers every time. Omar and Junaid especially deserve recognition for making customers feel like more than just transactions — they really give Sweet Reserve that extra spark. Highly recommend checking this café out if you haven’t already. Once you go, you’ll get why people can’t stop raving about it — and you’ll probably find yourself becoming a regular just like me.
The caramel macchiato was absolutely perfect—smooth, rich, and not overly sweet. They have an amazing mix of sweet and savory options, making it the ideal spot for breakfast, brunch, or just a late-night dessert run. Huge shoutout to Omar and Junaid—they seriously make the place what it is. Super welcoming, passionate, and clearly care about quality and customer experience. You can feel the good vibes the moment you walk in. If you haven’t stopped by yet, you’re missing out. This place is a gem
This coffee shop is right by the train station—great location. The interior is deep with plenty of seating. The lighting was a bit brighter than I’d prefer, but the decor is nice. I ordered a regular latte, and it was actually hot, with well made froth—though not much coffee art. The employee was friendly without being over the top and even brought the coffee to me, which made tipping feel good. One thing I noticed: there’s no music. I appreciated the quiet, but when I was alone, it felt a little empty. Overall, a nice shop.
My sister ordered quite a few items from this place for my birthday. On the day of pickup (my birthday, January 9, 2026 at around 1:55pm //sweet reserve bakery - Skokie location), my brother and I came to pick up the pastries. The bag was stapled, and looked really neat. Then we drove back home, expecting everything to be in the bag. When we got home, anticipating some good sweet and savory pastries, we noticed HALF of the order was missing. This is not something I’d expect from a place with such good reviews. We returned immediately , drove quite a long ways away, arrived at the reserve bakery around 3:30 to retrieve our missing pastries. After all that driving, all we received was a half baked apology from a lackluster staff, 2 young women who showed not an ounce of care for the establishment that they represent. No offers for any sort of compensation. The service is absolutely ridiculous for an establishment with this many good reviews. Will not be coming back, please reprimand your staff. Thank you.
