Who knew Macon, Georgia held such a delightful secret? Stepping into the kimchi factory felt like a nostalgic trip back to my Seattle days, thanks to the truly authentic Korean flavors. My best friend growing up was Korean, and this place brought back so many wonderful memories. From the moment I walked in, the server was incredibly friendly and hospitable, making me feel welcome throughout my entire visit. The kimchi fried rice was perfectly savory with just the right amount of spice. The ginger honey tea was soothing and fragrant – a real comfort. But the star for me were the kimchi pancakes – crispy, flavorful, and utterly delicious. If you're looking for a low-key spot with seriously amazing and authentic Korean food and genuinely kind service, this is it. A must-try in Macon!

What a gem! We happened to be in Macon and saw this little Korean restaurant so we stopped in. Sunni is so warm and welcoming, she answered all our questions. Everything we ordered was great but the Japchae was phenomenal- definitely the best I’ve had. All of the side dishes were fresh and tasty, the radish kimchi was our favorite but the cucumber was a close second. Keep in mind they provide generous helpings, you won’t leave hungry! It was so good we wish we lived closer. Definitely worth giving them the chance to impress you.

Yesterday, I skipped the two-hour drive to Atlanta for authentic Korean food and instead took a chance on a small, unassuming spot—Kimchi Factory. Some might call it a "hole in the wall," but if food is the measure of a place, this one stands tall. I ordered the Bibimbap with sides and sampled the Kimchi Stew. Both were rich, deeply flavorful, and spicy in a way that didn’t just burn but built—layer by layer, bite by bite. Every ingredient had a voice, distinct yet blending into something greater. The sides—Kimchi, cucumber, fish cakes, and daikon radish—weren’t just extras; they pulled their weight. The fish cakes mixed with kimchi? A salty, briny hit that reminded me of fresh oysters—unexpected and unforgettable. The space isn’t polished, the staff isn’t large, but none of that matters. What they lack in frills, they make up for in warmth, attentiveness, and damn good food. 4.5/5—don’t judge the look, trust the taste. Highly recommended.

My family & I dined at the Kimchi Factory over the weekend & really enjoyed our meal. Our waiter, Sunny, was great! My parents ordered the Kimbab appetizers (one pork & one beef) & raved about them. My mom liked the Kimbab appetizer more than she liked the beef Bulgogi she ordered as her entrée. My dad ordered the pork Bulgogi & it was very good! The veggies were nice & crunchy & the pork was seasoned to perfection & tender. My mom's beef Bulgogi was okay. It did not have a lot of the Bulgogi sauce on it & she said the meat was kind of tough. I ordered the dumplings as an appetizer & they were VERY GOOD! Steamed to perfection & tasty! I think you get a total of 5 to 6 dumplings. For my entrée, I ordered the LA Galbi (beef short ribs) & they were kind of tough also. The seasoning was good but I wouldn't order it again. We also loved the eggplant & bean sprouts that came out with our dishes. Both were very tasty. Parking wasn't difficult, because we arrived when they first opened, but I could see it being an issue if you arrive when they're very busy. The spaces are tight & few. There are a lot of 'Do not park' or 'Reserved' areas that I fear could get ones car towed. Be careful & check the sign near where you park. All in all, I'd recommend Kimchi Factory because we will definitely return.

Great experience! Had the egg custard and spicy squid. It was delicious - what a spread! Great service. Clean. Friendly. Excited to go back and make this a regular spot! Update: Went again this last Friday with a friend. We shared the Dumpling Appetizer, she ordered Bulgogi, and I ordered Bibimbap. It was an incredible experience!

WOW!! Some of the best food I have ever had!!! Absolutely outstanding!!! We got veggie dumplings, kimchi fried rice add tofu, the kimchi pancakes (ohhhmmmmyygooshhh) THAT was the best thing I’ve ever eaten in my life. And the pickled cucs!!! Mmm!!! Yes!!!! I want more!!! More more more!!! Hole in the wall and we almost didn’t go in….so glad we did because it became a highlight on our Macon trip and we’re contemplating doing it all over again tomorrow!! We’re hooked!!! And the host was very sweet and made me a delicious cup of Hot Moringa tea. A delicious superfood!!!!! Great job Kimchi Factory!! Definitely definitely recommend. This is the type of place you’d find Anthony Bourdain eating at on the regular 👍

What a wonderful experience my wife and I had here. DO NOT listen to the bad reviews, IMO, those people are off their roclers. Everything was incredible! And contrary to othwrs thoughts, everything was fresh made. The owner, (I forgot to get her name), does EVERYRHING! She serves, prepares, cleans. And with all of that she took the time to visit with us. The banchan is all made there fresh. The kimchi, and cucumber salad were very fresh and the best we have had to date. She makes her own Gochujang, (Korean pepper sauce), and it was awesome. My wife had the Japchae, and I had the stone pot Bibimbap. Wow! We also had some dumplings. The portions were generous. So much so that we had some to bring with us for another meal. This is definitely on our list of places we MUST stop for any time we are traveling through Macon! Even though the parking can be a challenge, it is well worth it!
