I had an amazing first experience with Malaysian food at Reunion Malaysian Cafe + Kitchen in Kirkland! Since I’d never tried this cuisine before, the staff were super sweet and helped me navigate the menu. They suggested the Beef Rendang with Roti Canai, and it was delicious. The beef was incredibly tender and flavorful, and that flaky 'bread thing' (the Roti) was perfect for dipping. It’s a cozy, family-run spot where the service really makes you feel welcome. If you’re a first-timer like me, don’t be afraid to ask for help…they’ll point you toward something great!

What a small family-owned gem! The couple who owns it are warm and friendly, and they really appreciate their customers. The food was flavorful, and cooked almost perfectly. My friend is Halal and I have gluten intolerance, and both of us found dishes we could eat and enjoy. I had their chicken biryani and their pulled tea (I can’t remember what it’s called), and it was all delicious! A big plus was that their prices are reasonable, especially compared to the price-gouging many restaurants are doing these days. This is my new favorite lunch stop when I’m in Kirkland.

This self-service concept where we ordered first and then bus to our own cleaned up. Despite this, we returned for a second visit! The first time, we ordered teh tarik, which unfortunately was rather bland, tasting more like milk than tea. However, the nasi lemak was flavorful with a small portion of sambal, but the sambal had a surprising level of heat. This was unexpectedly good, especially since the cold weather made us crave some warm and comforting food. We also ordered kaya butter brioche toast and Milo. The second time, we ordered Mamak Mee Goreng, coffee, Mocha bomb and curry meatballs. The Mamak Mee Goreng was good but lacked the expected spiciness. We searched for chilli sauce in the open space, but unfortunately, there was nowhere to be found. The drinks were mediocre. So overall, it felt like Malaysian fusion, where we did not expect an exact replica of the originals, we hope for a taste closer to 80% of the authentic level.

I’ve been to reunion a few times. I always forget they don’t have complimentary water. I got their drinks before but this time I just ate my food without water. I was a bit disappointed with the portion of my Nasi Lemak with Pork Belly seasonal dish. The rice took up most of the dish. For the price it seemed a small proportion. No one raved about the food as we ate either. I forgot to ask everyone’s opinions. The decoration was cute and almost like a hostel with all the Malaysian and USA flags. The staff was very kind and friendly.

I finally got to try this Malaysian restaurant and it was pretty good. Since it was takeout, I couldn't let them know easily that there was a lot of sand and grit in the first clam I ate. The remainder were okay. The seafood was plentiful in my dish but the broth was a bit spicy for my tolerance. It was overall comforting and well-prepared, though! I may be back to try their less spicy options.

Had lunch with some friends here and loved it!! The woman at the register (unfortunately didn’t get her name) was super helpful in explaining the Malaysian dishes, and all of the food was amazing! We split several dishes - my favorite was her recommendation, the seafood noodle dish (I wish I remembered the name)!! Huge fan and would love to come again

Overall, it's too pricey. The food is decent, but the portion size doesn't justify the cost. I ordered the Laksa with pork belly noodles, and while the pork belly was delicious, I still felt hungry after finishing the noodles. However, if you enjoy Malaysian food, it's worth trying at least once!
