Banana Blossom Thai Restaurant

Wow one of the best Thai resturants here! Good service, clean nice intimate but causal spot. I love their menu options and how they have pictures. Very unique options you can’t get elsewhere, a bit of a fusion take incorporating New Orleans southern food and Thai food. The crab curry was so tasteful, I highly recommend and would come back!

Gentle heads-up: The restaurant only accepts a maximum of 3 cards per group for payment. If you’re dining with a group, you may need to work something out ahead of time. Also, our check included all items on a single ticket rather than split by individual orders. That said, the experience was lovely. The food was absolutely delicious. Even with a full house, service was impressively fast. Our entire table received all dishes within 10 minutes. The ambiance is elegant and thoughtfully designed.

Had a taste for somw tom kha soup as I haven't had any in about a year. Looked up the nearest restaurant that offered it and banana blossom came up. Called to place an order for lunch. Was blessed to speak to a very sweet staff member who made sure she put my order in at the right time. Upon entering, I heard my name being called. Thats customer service. Needless to say, my soup was hot and fresh. Only critique - i will choose either medium or hot next time for my prefered spice level. Thank you for a great experience!

Not expecting what to see walking into a minimalistic corner building on 9th Street and Lafayette, we were surprised by a tasteful and elegant presentation. Tall ceiling is underlined with great spread of wall, ceiling and table accessories, defining a well proportioned use of space. Acoustics reminds me of a busy Chinese Tea House hearing everything. High end style menu of 8 pages from front to back. Menu choices are comprehensive stressing always fresh year round availability. We went for a red snapper topped with a light sweet and sour mix of spices, herb, raddish and squash blend. Very outstanding simple use of fragrance, taste and texture. We sure will be back for Thai curry dishes, as profused from a neighbouring table. Will be back and recommend this place. The hospitality is warm and the hostess even offered my wife a bouquet of flowers to take home. 5 stars all around, for sure.

Ordered their BBQ Oysters, Ramen & Pad Thai with Coconut Shrimp 🍤 and mmm everything turned out great! Food was delicious! Customer service was awesome from start to finish. Thank you, will definitely be back for more!

Oh My! I’ve never seen a menu with that many items where I genuinely wanted to eat everything. The menu alone pulls you in. Dinner did not disappoint. I ordered the Beef Rib Chiang Mai Noodle and... Oh My again... delish, delish, DELISH. Great atmosphere @ dinner, incredible flavors, and a meal that left me smiling and satisfied. Safe to say, I was very well pleased.

The Roti Bread? A perfect balance of butter and curry on perfectly made soft sweet bread—it’ll slap your taste buds awake. And the Crab Claws? So rich and fragrant, you’ll want to cuddle up with them on a rainy day. Pro tip: use the sauce from the crab claws with the Chicken Tacos—it’s beyond amazing, stealing the spotlight every time.
