If you’re looking for a family run diner with good service, large, delicious portions and small town kindness, then this is the place for you! It’s a cute little spot, tucked in a small non-descript building. If you blink, you’ll miss it. There isn’t a lot of parking, unless you come before 8 am. After that, you’ll walk a block or two if you’re lucky. The staff here is awesome! Sherrie has been running the restaurant for 28 years. While her mom has finally retired, much of the staff has been there more than 10 years. There’s a quiet dignity to the early morning crowd of regulars who come in at sunrise to begin the day. Later in the morning, the restaurant is packed with the white collar crew who run the federal, state and city buildings downtown. You’ll be lucky to find a seat after 9 am. The experience of Sherry’s is worth the wait. Today we had eggs, pancakes and biscuits and gravy. Hot cinnamon rolls had just come out of the oven, filling the place with the scent of warm cinnamon. Dining at Sherrie’s Place is a step back into what Wyoming once was. You’re lucky if you get to experience this small taste of Heaven. I’ve been coming here over 20 years. Although I’ve long since moved away, Sherrie is still kind and welcoming to my kids who live in the area. This place is much more than just a restaurant. It feels like coming home.
This is truly a local place that visitors need to visit. We were passing through town and went there based on the Google Reviews and the reviews didn't lie. We met the owner who had been there for over 25 years and she was charming as she sat us at our table and made recommendations from the menu. We started off with one of their fresh Cinnamon Rolls with Pecans and some homemade buttermilk syrup. It was to die for!! We followed that up with one of their stuffed French Toasts with Strawberry topping. It was fantastic. The flavors reminded me of a Monte Cristo sandwich. It had a great balance of sweetness and saltiness and was HUGE. Whether your a local or a traveller, Sherry's is a place you need to visit.
Our first time at Sherries Place. I was not expecting the delight of our decision. When you walk in, you feel a little like you stepped back in time. A small sensation that felt like we had gone home. The atmosphere was welcoming and very comfortable. They were busy, but the customer service provided made us feel as if we were the only diners. They never missed a beat and were consistently professional, patient, helpful and very pleasant. The food was excellent...absolutely excellent. My chicken fried steak was large enough for two meals. Loved every bite... even the cold leftovers for breakfast the following morning. The cinnamon roll, large enough to share, was very good.
We were thoroughly impressed with the atmosphere and service. It felt like visiting an old family friend. The service was perfect, and the food was beyond amazing. Their salads can feed an army - especially the honey chicken salad. The amount of chicken was almost too much, and it was paired perfectly with pineapple, mandarin oranges, and poppy seed dressing. I'm going to be eating this for the next 3 days! Sherrie's Place is our new favorite restaurant in Casper.
The perfect little small town Diner in Casper Wyoming I highly recommend it it is small so go early and they're only open till 2:00 p.m.
Just a typical American diner style restaurant with great tasting food. My wife got a phenomenal chicken fried steak and I got the chorizo burger which hit the spot. My wife also got their soup of the day which was green chili. We also got one of the giant cinnamon rolls which was the best part. The diner is small and the place was packed but we were served quickly. I can definitely recommend.
Went looking for breakfast and came across Sherry's place, got there a little too late so we had lunch. Husband ordered the turkey, bacon with cheese and tomato, his side was fruit (from a can). John ended up taking half of the sandwich back to the RV. I ordered the veggie melt with tater tots, I eat the whole thing! Service was excellent and with every lunch, you get homemade bread. Gabriel was excellent right on top of everything, nice and friendly. He took the time to explain things about the area for us to go see.
