Customer Reviews
Nagomi Restaurant has a rating of 4.5 out of 5 based on over 430 reviews on Google
The food was enjoyable and clearly prepared with care, especially the curry ramen. Unfortunately, the service was lacking. I hope this improves because the kitchen is doing good work.
If you're looking for a japanese restaurant run by actual japanese people, this is the spot. The sushi was good, I will say japanese ramen is normally salty, thats the japanese way.. but, I think they've toned it down for Americans. I got the nagomi ramen and had very high hopes as tonkotsu miso is my favorite, but it was rather bland, it had broccoli in it which totally sapped all the meaty flavor you should get. My wife got the curry ramen which was tasty but once again was missing the saltiness that you should have with japanese food. Also, the soft boiled ajitama eggs you normally get with ramen were just regular hard boiled eggs, not marinated, and overcooked (see green ring on the yolk). So the food was only 3 stars but the rest of the experience is 5 stars. I'll go again to figure out if I went on an off day. They did have a little area with japanese snacks and a box of free japanese magazines which was pretty awesome. Cool spot
I had an amazing dining experience here! Every dish was full of flavor and outstanding. I was also really impressed by the service — especially from Autumn?> She was incredibly attentive, professional, and genuinely kind throughout my visit. You can tell she really cares about both her team and the customers. Everything felt well-organized and welcoming thanks to her thoughtful attitude. It’s rare to meet someone who combines warmth and professionalism so naturally. Highly recommend visiting — you’ll definitely be in good hands with Areum!
I want to start by saying I've been to Japan, stayed with a Japanese family and learned to cook basics. I was visiting from out of state and was excited to try the curry here. A local friend recommended this restaurant. Service is slow which is ok enough. My husband found his ramen to be less than satisfactory and my curry was good. It wasn't special, the karaage was good as well. My gripe is the lack of veggies in the curry. It was gravy a few pieces of chicken and rice. Before moving to this region (Texas/NM) I had never had curry without veggies and being told how authentic this was I had high hopes it would be different. Very disappointed. Flavor was good but personally I wouldn't go back.
This is the best Japanese restaurant in Albuquerque and one of the best dollar values too. It is run by a lovely Japanese family offering up authentic and unique Japanese meals including one of my favorites seafood Ramen. It also has wonderful and fresh sushi. If you want a great dollar value, authentic Japanese restaurant you should check it out.
Masahito and Kelly are amazing restaurant owners. They are lovely and so welcoming. We have become regulars. The food is just exquisite. It is authentic, skillfully made Japanese food that is infused with lots of love. Thank you!
This place has great tonkotsu ramen and tempura shrimp. The service is not that good. The server was really slow and kinda rude. She had to school me on how Japanese people don't like anything spicy because I asked for spicy ramen. Of course, she wouldn't bring me anything like chili paste or chili oil or the 1000 other spicy items that are available in other ramen restaurants. Won't go back to this place.
