Daiso - Japanese Household Goods

My 1st time here & I was expecting more. The store was packed with people. The aisle were so narrow. The prices were at 1st confusing. Just about everything was of course in a different language. Some items did not explain what they were used for. The people working there were very nice & helpful. A lot of the items that didn’t have a price sticker were $1.75. There were cute items, go visit & judge for yourself.

I really enjoyed how well organized the store was during my visit. I visited DAISO at around 9:30AM on a Wednesday to avoid a lot of the initial hype since the store just opened a few days ago. I was very disappointed on the yen conversion done at the store, even if we disregard the extremely weak yen at this time, the conversion may as well not exist and they should just put American stickers over the price tags here. The selection was similar to the ones in Japan though a lot smaller in some of the essentials and of course no HANKO stamp stands haha. The snack stands were completely ransacked. There was pretty much nothing left by the time we got there and they had just opened. This place was stationary heaven though since their selection was wide, affordable,and just so darn adorable! Overall this store was mostly cute and slightly affordable.

love daiso! wish the building was a bit bigger so the aisles aren’t so narrow. anything you’re looking for, daiso will have it for a fair price! bought some white bowls and kitchen supplies and they are so great! looks and feels like quality product!

The store itself is a bit small, but surprisingly, it has a good variety of items and is fun to browse. On weekdays, it’s quite empty, but on holidays and weekends, it gets crowded, which makes the space feel even smaller. The checkout is self-service, but it works fine without any issues.

This place packs a lot of items into a small space. So much fun cutesy stuff to choose from. You can find plushies, candy, kitchen stuff, organization, toys, stationary, crafting, etc.

Update: We are extremely grateful for the exceptional corporate leadership at Daiso. A week after reaching out, their leadership team contacted us to apologize for our experience. They visited the site, assessed it, and retrained the staff to ensure this doesn’t happen again. They assured us the store is now ADA-friendly and safe for all guests, emphasizing their commitment to safety, excellence, and empathy. Today, we were invited back, and the store was transformed. Everything was orderly, the staff was calm, the shelves were stocked, and there were no boxes on the floor. The leadership team rolled up their sleeves to support the retraining efforts. Our daughter and her service dog truly enjoyed their time today. We will most definitely be back because the items were great, but the level of customer experience from the leadership is truly remarkable. We are thankful for their willingness to listen, address difficult situations, and make necessary corrections. Thank you so much! You truly turned a sour moment into a great one. ———————————————————— We were looking forward to this and then disappointed that our daughter couldn’t maneuver in the store with her service dog (not ADA friendly) and neither was the older individual that came in after us in a wheelchair. Totally understand the high demand, and just disappointed by the response of the team (Stephanie— manager) stating that there was nothing that can be done but could leave if it doesn’t suit us, and refusing to give us contact information to AM. She said she would Google corporate information or I could because they don’t have that contact information. We would have been satisfied with "let’s clear some items so there is walking space" vs "you can leave if doesn’t suit us and not made for a dog". Again, it’s unfortunate. This was our second visit and gave grace the first time but it’s evident that safety (boxes piled up that could easily fall on child, blocking aisles to walk, above capacity) is not a top priority. We did reach out to Daiso and plan to reach out to ADA as well.

This store is clean, and organized. I love coming here, as I always walk out with stuff. I find stuff for each of my craft hobbies, and cute accessories. My sister and I plan to grab school supplies here as they are cheap, have good quality, and cute. I see on the reviews that its hard to determine the prices and the use of some items. I disagree, a currency conversion are posted on every aisle, each side. Some things don't have a translation to English, but I'm sure an employee could help. There is a self-checkout and traditional checkout, everytime I'm about to purchase items, there is a cashier happy to help.
