Shasta College Bookstore

This is my third time contacting them and I have to say, they must hate their jobs or be beyond stress to be so rude every single time I talk to them. I called to cancel and order that has been on wait and he raised his voice at me about something being on backorder after I asked to cancel my whole order and got meaner when I reminded him I was trying to cancel it. I need to buy it from a different source to get it this week since I need it now. The time before this, I called and email for over 2 weeks since I was pretty far from the school. The professor changed his the textbook we needed 3 days after the class started, obviously not their fault, but I needed to try to cancel and get a refund on the online textbook that I had originally ordered. When they finally picked up over 2 wees later, they were mean and rude and told me I should of waited to order my book. I'm so happy this was my last semester dealing with them.

They have a lot lot of cool stuff here. School supplies, backpacks, all the textbooks, & even cool tech stuff... Some items are a little pricey, but there are some great deals as well

You get put on hold for 15 minutes every time you call them, I think they actually picked up once in the entire time I’ve been attending Shasta. Worst bookstore ever.

The book store is far more spacious than it once was however the layout lends itself to difficulty in navigation of the aisles. The prices are significantly higher than online options with the exception of the rental options. Furthermore on several occasions I have experienced clerks who seem to believe folks buying their books or family members' are plotting to ruin their day or at a minimum are adversaries who need to be dealt with.

It's a college bookstore, has a decent selection and the pricing isn't terrible for books (go elsewhere for supplies). Their return policy isnt great though. I accidentally purchased the wrong workbook for a class and unfortunately couldnt tell it was the wrong booklet until it was opened. I was unable to return this because it was open even though it was unused and I had only had it for less than a day. They carried most of the books I needed for class but not all of them. If you're in a high demand class I'd recommend buying your books as far in advance as possible to make sure you can get a copy.

The staff there is so helpful. They have a large variety of snacks, drinks, binders, notebooks, and apparel. Even accessories for your smart phones, ipods, and other devices are found here. I love it.

The internet crashed and I wanted to get my books before the new year. I hit the time just right my husband and I got all of our books at once. The people were very helpful and very competent with subjects and materials needed.
