Lisa's Book Nook

This place is SO utterly adorable! It doesn't stand out much on the outside, it took me driving buy many times to notice it. Once we stepped inside it was like stepping into a wonderland/ dreamy book store straight out of a Christmas movie. The building use to be a lumbar store in its past, so it has that old time feel on the inside. You could get lost for hours looking at all the books. It feels homey, and comfortable. The owner is so nice! And the prices are unbeatable. Im not a life long local, I just moved here from a big city, with big city prices, and big city feels. I'll take Lisa's Book Nook any day over other places. This place is such a gem! ♥️

A book lover’s paradise! Huge selection of every genre you can imagine, and friendly, knowledgeable owners/staff. I could easily get lost in here for hours! And they also accept your used books and movies for store credit which is really neat. Highly recommend checking out this hidden gem! We will certainly be back!!

This place is fantastic. Lisa is extremely knowledgeable and helpful on such a wide range of...not only LITERATURE, but common sense, uncommon sense, philosophy, LIFE! No exaggeration. I am sure she has ESP, too, or at least a keen intuition. I love her store, it is organized beautifully - it's more than "a store", it's a library, a place to gather, a place to interact with good people who appreciate that actually holding a book in hand and turning pages is a most blessed treasure. Did I mention I LOVE THIS PLACE? AND LISA? ❤

Great service, found the book I was looking for. Nice lady , & the shop a work in progress, if not ,well she would have less books. I'm ok with that. Great book lovers know that shelves are always being stocked & unstocked ! Right?! Worth the drive, & the time to look & find treasures. 💙🦋

Shasta County is blessed to still have two good, old fashioned book stores but Lisa's is my favorite. Lisa knows books and the book trade. Her store is packed with good books at fair prices. If she doesn't have something and it can be gotten Lisa can get it for you. DOUGout

Pricing is higher than I expected. A cute resident doggo, but she isn't so friendly. Not mean, just distant. Had to knock to enter. After 2 attempts, the dog alerted her that we were there. Lisa was very friendly.

Just what I expected from a used book store. I felt transported back in time. Not just tightly packed shelves but tables, boxes and even (get this) piles of books every where. I loved it. Very remincince of the fantasy novels I love to read. The owner is friendly and helpful and even offered me tea and coffee. A great place to get lost in the pages of a great novel.
