Wild Rumpus Books

Wild Rumpus is great! What a fun bookstore for kids and adults alike. Oozing with imagination and whimsy, great selection of books, and the kids always love interacting with the resident cats, birds, and lizards. Love this place and we’ll be back again and again.

I am from Michigan and wanted to support local businesses during January and all the Minneapolis was facing. I decided to order a pre-order as well as another book from those bookstore. Customer service was fantastic, reaching out to see if I wanted my in stock book before or with the launch of my pre-order, which I had never even thought about! They were so kind in communications, quick in communication, and my book arrived so much sooner than I anticipated. My jaw dropped when I opened my package to see this beautifully wrapped book I had purchased (BTW it is Crenshaw by Katherine Applegate). I hope to visit in person one day! Thank you for spreading wonder, kindness, and the love of reading, Wild Rumpus!

Great space for kids and adults. Tons and tons of children's books, a small section of crafts and puzzles to buy. They even have areas to sit and read. And let's not forget they have a few live animals (cats to roam, birds and chinchillas in their cages). So fun!

Awesome selection of kids books. The atmosphere is real cool. Probably one of the greater selection of kids books I found.

Such a gorgeous and wonderful shopping experience. Bookstore is mainly geared towards younger and teen readers, but they definitely have a lot of options across (and beyond the spectrum). The store's decorations are so ridiculously cool with a ceiling decorated to look like cracked ice, a magical bathroom, and a haunted looking shed. Truly perfect. Thank you for existing, Wild Rumpus.
