Used Book Emporium

An amazing menagerie of books!! The staff was very helpful and full of knowledge. They have a lot to choose from. From kids books to history to crime and everything in between!! They also have a credit trade in program. We found some obscure RL Stein books and some Ray Bradbury books. All in all we will be back to get some more books… READING IS FUNDAMENTAL!!

Great used book store with a god selection. The books all seemed to be in good condition. They do accept cards and if you are looking for a book, ask the counter.

A great place to go if you're looking for a low priced gift for someone or a unique older book for yourself. We got a couple of hard-bound cookbooks for our daughter for a dollar each. On another visit, several asian cookbooks in great condition for $9 each. Everything they have is well-organized throughout the store, by genre. You can also trade in your used books and have $ on account to spend in store. Definitely worth a visit.

This cozy used bookstore has great service and selection. I've always liked this place, but they impressed me even more during the Covid quarantine! I needed books for remote learning for my kids. The staff were great at answering questions over email, and then I've been able to come in early for high risk hours in the morning and shop. They're always friendly and helpful, and I get everything I need.

I found that a review written recently that was very critical of the Used Book Emporium staff wasn't based on facts. Debbie and Linda have been extremely helpful to me in the over 7 years I've been trading with them. I supply a Little Library here in Lyons, CO, that is dedicated to Nature, Gardening, Field Guides, and Outdoor Education. The Used Book Emporium has been so good about getting me the kind of books I'm are looking for. They take many more books in trade that the other bookstore in town, and their 20% discount to new books ordered can't be beat!

The used book store is great my grandmother takes me and my siblings every time my parents are out of town the have a wide variety for young Kiddos. Adults of course have a larger variety includeong cooking, War, how to, graphic novels, and LOTS more. Not only that if they do not have a book you want the order of. They also have trade in witch is awesome I recommended this used book store to everyone.

Extremely disappointed in how this business is "ran" and how they treat customers, like I was today. Never coming here again. Had a very extensive reserve list of several series of books. Was told my list was cancelled due to lack of pick up and communication. They "notate" in their system that they call or spoke to me, which is a flat out lie. The two times I ACTUALLY spoke with someone in the last 2 months about a book, I informed them I already owned it and didn't need it. Instead of putting it back on the shelf, they "notated" they held it and I did not pick it up. I walked out after Deb refused to work with me before rudely claiming I was a damage to their business and that, "We're done here!" This was after her arguing with me about supposed dates, times, and notes of contact, which is pointless since these are all fabricated. So inconsiderate and unprofessional for a bookstore to flat out make up notes and lie about a customer to get out of their mishaps and accountability. Get a new phone system or actually call the customer AND SPEAK WITH THEM DIRECTLY before making up lies and cancelling out their entire reading list. Your notes can say whatever they want, but I can print out a 3 year call list from my phone provider to prove how many times I was truly contacted, which differs greatly from your system and its notes.
