Mid aged Lady working at back of police station is rude for no reason extremely condescending and degrading towards students

Online student here and was on campus yesterday. Awesome staff! Great clearance!

This incident happened on 1/6/2020. I called at 12:44pm and asked if my books were ready and was told they were ready to be picked up. I arrived at the bookstore with my order number and got told by the lady in the front that my books were not here and they would not arrive until Thursday. I was confused because the person I talked to on the phone said my books were ready. I left the bookstore and called the manager. I was transferred to the same person I spoke to earlier and told her my situation. She transferred me to the manager, Michelle, and she told me that my books were ready and that the associates did not check right. It was a good thing I did not leave the campus because I would had to make two trips. Just putting this message out to the students so that they don't make two trips or get wrong information. Make sure you speak to a manager because some associates make mistakes and you can't trust their word sometimes. I got my books but it's very discouraging when someone gives you the wrong response. Incident happened at 12:34pm 5/10/23. Once again, another screw up from the bookstore. I got an email stating that I cancelled my order so I told my family to call the bookstore to see what happened while I was at work. I was told it was a mistake then hear another story that so-so called me 3 times which is a complete lie. I never received a phone call and I bet they got my area code wrong since I always hear the same excuse. Very frustrating because I had to leave work early, wait, fill out the form, and pay again. I hope I get my refund.

One star because the two girls in the front were helpful and nice . Rented a book from here in the beginning of the semester & came in today to return but staff refused to accept it. They said that there’s to much writing on the book. Told them I got the book like that & that I barely used it & I didn't write on it but they didn’t believed me. I told them it’s their fault for not checking all the books to make sure there’s nothing written on them before selling. There’s other books with writing on them. They told me I had to pay or it will go towards collection. Does it really ? Spoke to manager & explained again (which I did about 3 times to different staff) and told them that is not fair because staff didn’t warned me that it’s non returnable. Didn’t want to pay to buy it. Manager said that it’s not their staff fault but mines ??? I rented the book for $25 & now spent $8 to pay to own it. Really upset & mad about this! Never had this experience before but now I won’t be buying or renting books from here. Will tell friends & family not to purchase & to be careful if they do want to. I think when it comes to buying books from here , It’s a scam. Really want my $ back. Unfair....

The staff does not know what they are doing. They walk as slow as they can so to pick up a book (I call before heading that way and I was told that the book was there and ready) took the young female about 45 minutes to find my book and I got a citation because she was too slow. Look like she didn't even want to be there.

All of the in store workers are fantastic and as helpful as possible but it's clear that there is someone in administration or management who has no interest in helping the students find their books. The organization system changes every few years for no discernable reason, and sometimes professors don't order textbooks for the bookstore, and don t give a disclaimer that it isn't there. Overall the experience is annoying and unhelpful especially considering the premium that students pay for these books

Great store but dissapointed in selection of larger sizes in T-shirts for real women who have chests. I couldn't find the size needed. The ones marked as larger sizes were for junior highers larger size. Great customer service just not a very diverse selection for a diverse sized students school.
