Incredible collection of antique, vintage, and modern books. Beautifully and deliberately categorized throughout a historic building. The owner was very knowledgeable and kind as I had many questions. I am fascinated with his collection! A must-go for literature lovers in the triad area. We drove 40 minutes to visit and we will very willingly come again!
Great selection of books and many new ones at half the cover price. Roger knows his writers and keeps an impeccable range of subjects of great interest to me. I’ll make sure to visit again on our next trip to NC.
Person working there was very nice and helpful and gave me a great deal when I bought 2 expensive books... ALOT of wonderful really old and interesting books there!!!! I will have to go back there again!! I have searched many bookstores but never found one like this one. This store had alot of the type of books I have been looking for!
I enjoy this bookstore as it is one of my favorites in North Carolina. I've been shopping with Pages Past in person and I frequently order from online. They have a great selection of North Carolina related materials that I often seek. Personally, I've only had great experiences with this store. After reading some of the reviews, I suppose someone could have a different experience, but I cannot say I have ever had a bad experience. Thanks for having such a great bookshop open to the public that caters to book collections such as mine. 🙂
Owner is super friendly! He is very knowledgeable, and takes his time to show you some of the great items he has in his store. I bought a John Speed map from him at a very fair price, and would recommend anyone interested in rare books or maps to visit his amazing shop!
A much belated shout-out to Pages Past and its owner Roger March! As a professional educator (I teach English, History, Debate, and Mythology with a bit of Greek and Latin) Roger has helped me assemble a scholar's library over the course of the past two plus decades that would be impossible and unaffordable through any other source. My students and colleagues have access to these books and are totally amazed! Roger is always extraoridinarily helpful with my antiquarian and contemporary selections and recommendations as he himself is very much a scholar. Great atmosphere in the shop--I've been to antiquarian bookshops all over the world and they have nothing over his selection, his amicable demeanor, and his knowledge! Always a pleasure likewise to simply drop by and engage in some "book talk" and petting of the shop pup Watson who greets everyone with love and enthusiasm!
This store is a book enthusiasts dream! They have a wide selection of eras and locations. From North Carolina to the ancient world, from hot off the press to the 19th century (that’s the earliest I found). AND there’s a dog that greets you upon entering!!!!!
