Okay, I’m a little biased — I’m the mailman for Black Sun Bookstore 😉 But it’s a hidden gem! Peter helped me with a couple Shakespeare plays I wanted copies of, and he’ll help you too. Don’t buy books from Amazon, walk into Black Sun Books, meet Peter, have a human experience, and support your local bookstore!

This is hands down one of the best bookstores I have ever happened upon. Visiting Eugene from Austin TX and happened to drive by. The owner saw us looking through the window and very sweetly came over to open the store half an hour early just so we could browse. The selection was incredible - we found great books on architecture, children’s books for our nieces, and artistic postcards to gift to our friends. I wish I lived here so I could come back all the time. Highly recommend!

I went in here for the first time today and I am MAD. That I haven't been going here for years Great prices. Obscure authors Great selection of new and used Amazing place. Will be coming here a ton more.

Fantastic bookstore. Huge excellent selection for a relatively small shop. It was pretty well marked and the owner was friendly. Would definitely go again.

This is a sparkling gem of a small bookstore. Very well laid out and organized. You don't get claustrophobic but want to wonder through the nooks and cranies to discover books. There are many English translated foreign language books. More than most.bookstores I've been. Very tidy, clean and pleasant to be in. Very friendly owner. No store cat mascot, but there is a painting of a cat behind the counter that represents the store mascot. Definitely a must visit.

This bookstore is so charming and wonderful with such a wide selection of fiction and non fiction as well as a small selection of gifts for the book lover in your life. Give yourself plenty of time in here to peruse the magical maze of books until you find the perfect read. Everyone who works here has been super friendly and helpful. Bonus points for the calming music always playing and the few chairs scattered about so you can flip through your next read before you take it home!
