As you come up in the door of Affina you receive a warm greeting. I had been looking for a nail place for a while when I found Affina nail spa. Other nails spas might not explain the difference in nail styles and give prices with patience. I’m usually indecisive, so I need a lot of explaining and they explained everything and let me look at the nail colors over and over. What I like about this nail spa is the attention to detail. Has every experience been great? No. Depending on the nail tech. Don’t get someone in "training", bc I have had a nail tech here that was in "training" and got very frustrated with me when I was trying to explain to her that the something was off. But the ones that are good are very good and get the shape, color and look that you want. I’ve had Allison and she was great and very friendly and patient. I’ve been to so many other nail places and there is most definitely a different in technique and look. I have had many pleasant nail experiences here compared to other places. That being said, It is in downtown Manhattan, In the City Hall area and it is $$$.

I can’t say enough amazing things about this nail salon! Lola is truly the best—she’s so talented, gentle, and detail-oriented. Every time she does my manicure and design, it turns out absolutely perfect. The quality is incredible; my gel manicure lasts a full month with no chips at all! The salon is clean, relaxing, and the service is always outstanding.

I came to Affina Nail to get my wedding nails done, and they absolutely exceeded every expectation. Iris was so gentle, detailed, and patient, making sure everything looked perfect for my big day. My nails turned out stunning—exactly what I wanted and even better in photos. Thank you!

They got us in last minute and did an amazing job. Ana and Winnie were very professional and very good! The foot massage almost put me to sleep

Bonnie was so excellent! I came back from a trip abroad and desperately needed a mani/pedi, and I have not stopped staring at my nails since! I don't like gel nails, just regular polish, but she still made sure to use a good number of coats so they look neat and last a while. She's thorough and neat and I definitely recommend! Overall the place is very nice!

This is the third time I've had a mani & pedi services. I've had different techs each time and they are always professional, pay attention to detail and work expediently. Its not a place where people really care to develop a relationship and remember your name, but its a decent place for nail services. The space is a bit narrow but very clean and organized. Convenient to the subway and they take in walk-ins without an issue; though you might have to wait for a while on weekends. I recommend them--the mani color lasts about a week; the pedi lasts longer.

I’ve been coming here for years, and I can’t say enough good things about this place! Every time I leave, my nails look amazing. Iris is truly the best—her attention to detail and skill are unmatched. She always makes sure my GelX nails are perfect, and I get so many compliments on them. If you’re looking for a go-to nail tech, she’s the one!
