I've been looking for the perfect hair salon in Franklin for years, and I'm beyond happy to say I have finally found it! Mona has been helping me in my hair journey, and honestly, my hair is healthier than ever. She is very precise and patient, gives the most perfect haircuts and blowouts, and always gives the best tips on how i can keep my hair healthier. She is one of the only people who can handle my thick hair, and the results always turn out better than my expectations. This salon also smells heavenly, and they use high-end products. I'm looking forward to coming back!
Today was my first time at Jules salon and I was super impressed with Brooklin. She listened to the hairstyle and color I want and exceeded my expectations. The cost was reasonable, much better than other salons here in Franklin. I will be back for sure. Thanks Brooklin!
The salon itself was very clean, modern, and nicely kept - definitely a beautiful space. Unfortunately, my overall experience wasn't great. I went in to get my hair colored and cut into a bob, but the color came out completely different from what I asked for. On top of that, the haircut was uneven - one side was noticeably longer than the other. I mentioned that I wanted it fixed, but the stylist said it was getting late and suggested I message her to come back on Saturday. However, when we got to the register, she told the front desk it would actually be about 3-4 weeks before she could fix it. That was really disappointing, especially since I left with a visibly uneven cut and still had all my dead ends. Overall, while the salon looked great, the quality of the service and communication didn't match the environment. I now have to find someone else to fix my hair. MIND YOU I WAS THERE FOR A NEW COLOR & BOB!! Does this look like a bob? again, if you don’t know how to cut SAY THAT.
I really wanted to love my hair and was excited to try a new stylist who not only has curly hair herself but is also a curl specialist. This was a free service to help her build her portfolio, and had it gone well, I would have absolutely become a regular client. Unfortunately, my experience left me disappointed. When I arrived, I wasn’t greeted warmly, which I brushed off, and I understood she mentioned losing her voice from the weather. I was mindful of that and didn’t push conversation. We discussed lightly that I was torn between cutting my hair short or keeping it long, and decided on a simple trim of the dead ends with curtain bangs, leaving the option of a big chop for next time. During the cut, she trimmed and then took me to wash my hair. From previous curly cuts, I expected bangs would typically be done after the wash and dry, so I wasn’t concerned at first. However, I was left under the dryer and then handed off to the receptionist to finish diffusing my hair. The stylist came back only to ask if I needed anything else. At that point, I just wanted to leave because my hair looked no different than when I walked in—and I definitely did not get the curtain bangs I asked for. No photos were taken, and while another model appointment was scheduled, I don’t think I’ll return. I had high expectations based on her many positive reviews, drove over 45 minutes for the appointment, and left feeling sad and unsatisfied. I did leave a tip out of gratitude for the free service, but overall the experience wasn’t worth it for me.
My experience with Brooklin has been amazing!! This is just my first visit, and not only do I love my hair, but I learned so much about it. Finding someone that’s cares and knows about the health of your hair is so important. You can tell she is truly passionate about what she does. I’m forever thankful for the opportunity to come in. I didn’t even know my curls could look like this! The salon is also absolutely beautiful, and everyone has such great customer service. It is truly a place where you can escape for a little bit. I can’t wait for my next appointment.
Great professional salon, everyone was so kind. Allie Rae did a fabulous job with my daughter's hair. She educated her on how to maintain her fresh curls. Allie was very knowledgeable and well trained. We'll definitely be a repeat client.
I wanted to love the experience. But sadly I was left beyond disappointed by the professionalism of the shop. I booked 2 appointments for my daughter and I, both of us were greeted taken back and my daughters technician got started right away. Somehow, I was left in the chair for 10 minutes before my tech came back saying she didn’t know I was getting serviced, but just greeted me…. Weird… How that happens is beyond me. (This should have been my sign to run) Going against my better judgement I continued with my service, we spoke about how uneven my hair was and how I would like for it to be more blended. She seem to UNDERSTAND everything I meant while I was explaining and was CONFIDENT in achieving the look that I wanted. As she was cutting I was trying to trust the process because I know with curly hair it dries differently from when it is wet. I was trying to remain hopeful, but once again disappointed. Not only was the cut the exact same as the issue before I came in but now it is shorter. I let Leah, the hair technician know I and not happy with it. And that she did nothing to fix the issue. She chuckles with me and tells me to part my hair a different way. I am so sorry but what?! Why did you cut it at all if you were going to do the exact same thing. After paying 315$ for mine and 8year old haircut, I kindly let the receptionist know that I am not happy with my cut. I’m sorry but if I paid over 150 for a hair cut I shouldn’t want to wear it in a bun. I am explaining to the receptionist that this is not what I wanted. Leah, my technician tried to inform her that I need to allow my hair to grow out and that there was nothing more she could have done. She shouldn’t have tried to cut it if she wasn’t confident. It literally feels like the whole salon was taking the side of the technician, when my hair is clearly messed up. Clint tries to fix it but there is no fixing this hair cut unless I want to go even shorter. I seriously leave in tears and not one person apologizes for the mistake. When I tell you all do not go to Leah, unless you are white, she Is not diverse in other races. Spare yourself and try someone else. My coloring was not done there. But look at the abrupt "blending" done.
