The service was amazing! I called for an appointment and was able to get serviced the same day. The shampoo was amazing and had me so relaxed I was falling asleep. The products were great quality, effective and light. My hair was so soft and bouncy and full of body after my silk press. I also got a trim and the stylist Koko wasn’t scissor happy. She let me know I needed a trim and only took off what needed to go. She was attentive, didn’t take breaks, and ensured I was comfortable the whole time. 100/10!

I went to see Melissa for a silk press. I asked if I could add a trim to the service and she happily said yes. She spoke when I came into the salon and we didnt stop until I left. She was polite and professional and even a little funny. We had a good time, good conversation and good vibes. I have no complaints. I will definitely be back to see her! She got started right away and finished quicker than I expected. She really sticks to her time frame, my appointment was for an hour and she finished right on time. It didnt feel rushed either. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. It felt like more than just a hair appointment but more like spending time with a friend or family member. Oh and I love my hair!!!!!!!!!!

This was my first time going to The Lab and I am genuinely impressed with the service and the speed I received. Brittany provided excellent service and I will certainly be back for all of my hair care needs in Durham.

Mikayla did an excellent job at my retwist! The detoxing wash was very relaxing and effective as I haven’t got my hair washed or redone in months! I recommend this place if you’re looking for good vibes, a job well done without any issues!

This was my first time at this establishment. Melissa was very warm and welcoming to me. Accepted me right away as a walk in. I appreciate that and I appreciate her taking good care of my hair. Which is natural, thin and Gray 😍 Service received was shampoo, haircut and roller set style 🤩

Best salon hands down!! Grew up going to an old school hair salon and it feels good to know there are some still out here. Loved the vibe, atmosphere, and of course conversation. Melissa provided me with a great service and I enjoyed every minute of it. She has created a great place to come and relax but leave feeling more beautiful than before and she is highly educated on her skills. Will definitely be back!!

Durham based hair salon. Excellent customer service. I booked online and it was smooth once I got there. Mikayla was great. She was very friendly and did a wonderful job on my blowout. Highly recommend
