The shelves in this store are extremely dirty! They sell expensive cosmetics, but they don't look after their store. The salespeople are nowhere to be found. The cashiers ignore the line. I couldn't wait to buy just one item. I had to leave without buying anything.

Overall the experience here was really odd. I had an amazing employee approach me and give me a great recommendation to a product. While talking to the employee a manager approached the both of us asking if everything was okay and if I was looking for anything in particular. I responded saying yes I’m being helped already and the manager stayed there which had me wondering if her employee was really her employee. Which she was. The entire time the manager approached me numerous times even kept staring at me when I was in line to pay. I did not walk into the building suspicious at all, I didn’t have a bag on me. I’m not too sure what Ulta’s policy and procedures are but I’ve been to this store a couple times and I have never felt more uncomfortable.

I let my eyebrows grow out and booked an appointment with Myria M. at Ulta in Citrus Heights. As soon as I sat down, she started waxing right away without using a pencil or asking me to approve my brow shape first. I didn’t say anything at first because I trusted her — she’s supposed to be a professional. But when she showed me one brow, it was clearly uneven and not the shape I wanted. I asked how long she had been doing brows, and she said only three months, adding that she’s actually a hairstylist who recently got her certificate training. At that point, I knew my brows weren’t going to turn out how I wanted, but I let her finish. She then waxed my upper lip. I kept my eyes closed because when I looked down, I could see her chest, which made me uncomfortable. The lip wax felt extremely painful, but I didn’t realize why until I got to my car — when I looked in the mirror, I saw she had burned my upper lip. I went back inside immediately and spoke with Nick (another brow expert) and Cassie, the store manager. Instead of showing concern, they started questioning me about what products I use on my face. I explained that I didn’t have any products on, and even repeated that I’ve been to Ulta many times using the same skincare without ever having an issue. It felt like they were interrogating me and trying to make it seem like it was my fault. Cassie said she would give me a full refund, then commented, "I see you don’t come in often," which felt unnecessary and dismissive. I asked for my tip back too, but she said that wasn’t possible. She did show me a product to help with the burn — which I ended up buying — but I was already upset that I had to spend even more money after a service that hurt my skin. Cassie told me she would call the next day to follow up. It’s been over a week, and she never called. Overall, this was a terrible experience. My skin was burned, I felt uncomfortable and blamed, and the lack of follow-up was disappointing. Do not go here and waste your hard-earned money.

Went there to get my brows tinted. I have tint everywhere and it doesn’t come off for a few days. And I had to pay for wax cuz she said it would help get the tint off. Just want to give everyone a heads up.

I had my hair cut & style last week and it was my 1st time availing Ulta The Salon services.I had an amazing experience. Melissa, my stylist did an awesome job.She delivered what I wanted. She was very professional and knowledgeable. She handled my hair well. The products she used were all good. The deep conditioning help my hair well. I was one happy and satisfied client.

Andrey is a good worker. She is very attentive and pleasant. I really like this store!

My blonde hair was turning brassy and needed a refresh. Myria M. was my stylist and gave me a new cut and color and she did an incredible job. The blonde she gave me is beautiful and she shaped my short hair and gave it a whole new vibrancy and style! This salon is amazing too and all of the stylists are friendly and it was a really great experience. I can't wait to go back and I highly recommend Myria she can help style your hair if you aren't sure what direction to go she is really talented!
