Don’t believe all the 5 star reviews. I’m sure some are fake accounts, paid posts, or similar. What you should believe is this: Dr. Khuu cares more about your money than ethical treatment and service for his patients. Feels incredibly transactional — he rushes into the appointment (late) and you immediately feel like he’s trying to burn down his checklist so he can leave as quickly as possible and do the bare minimum. He’s really not interested in hearing about your pain points. For the follow up appointment I had, I was waiting for 45 minutes in the patient room, and no one showed up nor checked in on me. It was on a work day, and I had no more tolerance for his tardiness, so I got up and walked out. The staff didn’t seem surprised or really apologetic about the terrible patient care and disregard for their patients’ time. How frustrating. There was also no follow up from the office or apology. Also, the doctor will perform a biopsy but not disclose the labs he’s sending them to. I have a platinum health plan and here were my costs: - $120 co-pay for appointment - $150 for a small quick biopsy of my skin, smaller than the top of a push pin - $450 UCSF Lab fee (undisclosed) - $258 Quest Lab fee (undisclosed, second lab test on the same biopsy sample). Thankfully my cost was minimized to $13 for this only In total, I racked up $700-$1000 of costs out of nowhere for a dermatitis diagnosis. I have no idea why they needed to send it to two different labs; the lack of disclosure and communication is terrible. It’s outrageous. And I already know they don’t care because of the way they treat their patients: no respect, courtesy, or consideration, just an opportunity to charge you where they can and get away of it. Dr. Khuu runs a dishonest and disorganized practice, driven by his own self-interest in maximizing his own earnings & efficiency at the cost of quality patient care.

PICK UP YOUR PHONES! I only give an extra star because my wife goes here and says great things about this dermatology office. But the experience in trying to pay the bill is beyond frustrating. I have played phone tag for over a week to get a hold of someone trying three separate times throughout. No one picks up. I leave a voicemail requesting callback. Try again. Someone eventually picks up. Their card reader isn’t working and they will call me back in a couple days. That came and went. It’s 2024 people. These payments should be easily taken care of online. If the office is so poorly staffed, reduce their workload and allow online bill pay so that way I can get on with the rest of my day. There is no way I am going to mail credit card numbers to pay a bill. Absolutely not. Get with the times.

Amazing experience, called last minute for an appointment Nathan was gracious and was able to help me find one. Everyone I dealt with during the appointment was kind and efficient, kept me updated as the clinic was fairly busy. Follow up has been excellent, received an call on Sat with update on some tests and prescription was sent promptly. Can't say enough good things about my overall experience.

I've only had positive experiences with Dr. Khuu. He was very professional and mindful of my needs and issues. I don't have terrible skin and go in (on occasion) for facial cortisone injections. He doesn't skate around the issues but is straightforward and plain with his diagnosis/recommendations. Also, I am very well-versed in my insurance plan so I have never received unwarranted charges. The key is to know your plan very well and not have the expectation that the clinics will understand it better than you.

Terrible experience all around. We booked a video appointment on Zocdoc, which was rescheduled by Dr Khuu's office without our knowledge. After we were in the virtual waiting room, no doctor showed up for nearly 10 minutes. When we called the office, we were told that the doctor would not show up unless we had completed the intake forms beforehand - something that they had never communicated with us. We tried to explain that one of the forms was in a format that we could not open on our computer and were told that there was no other option. Terrible experience. Stay far away, unless they change their front office.

I have been visiting here since 4 years and i had no billing or any other issues so far. I never has any bad experience.
