Bankston's Comics and Collectibles

I came in today and went through the Pokemon bulk. The bulk that they have seen better days. Each card that I set aside were at least moderately played. Multiple white spots, scratches, dents etc. IMO these cards have very little value left in them if any. They are a lot of old cards and they have had these cards for many years. I have gone through them before years back. The young girl was pricing them by taking pictures of the front of the card and using her phone to look up the value. I watched her snap pics of a few but the few I watched she never looked at the card up close or turned it over to see the condition. So I questioned her about it and she told me the majority were lightly played....🫤 I left her finish and she gave me a crazy total of $87!!! Are you kidding me? For old wrecked bulk? I asked if there was any room to work with that total. I am all for giving my money to the local shops vs big box stores or online so I'm seeing what she can do. She asks a man with grayish long hair if they could come off the price. She tells him that out of all the cards none of them had any value over 5 dollars. HE NEVER EVEN LOOKED AT THE CARDS. He throws out maybe 10 less than what she quoted and I countered with $70. Even though those cards were not worth $70. I was interested in the cards because I take the art work and cut it out to make art out of them. I enjoy it. I don't sell the art. He came back and said he was firm on $75.....for worn out bulk. Give me a break. I won't be back and I hope this review will help change how they price stuff like that.

Went in trying to use a gift card and the originally it showed no balance bc the card was never activated. It was my first time there and had never used it so it had to have a balance on it. The manager went to pin point the transaction and was able to find payment of the gift card. He activated the gift card, added additional credit on the card and offered me his discount. Great customer service and overall first experience. Great shop, I will be back!

This was my first visit to the stop . My son had been there before and highly recommended for us to stop by.The selection of items to choose was amazing .I observed the staff intact with customers and they were truly professional and knowledgeable.I learned a lot about card collecting that day and it was amazed of the selection available. Next I am in town I am sure to stop in again

Excellent selection of comics from all the big publishers and smaller ones as well. Having the option to have your favorite runs and covers pulled and waiting on you is nice. Guarantees you won't miss an issue. The also have a awesome collection of collectibles, from figures to posters. I highly recommend them. There's a good chance if you're looking for something, you'll find it here.

Love this place! They literally have something for everyone. The staff is absolutely amazing, they are so helpful and really know their stuff! We also helped with free comic book day and had a wonderful time and got some good comics! If your looking for pops! They got them! Looking for baseball cards or other sports cards they got them too! Saw a Rick and Morty d&d book. The list goes on and on!

This place is awesome!! Been in operation since 1985! If you live in the Waco area this needs to be your shop!! Great selection of current and back issues!! They also have a full Sports memorabilia shop as well!! A must stop if in the area!! Great staff and very knowledgeable about all things comics and sports!! 5 stars!!

Came all the way to Waco for this incredible shop! Very courteous and friendly staff! Huge selection for any type of collector! Very fair prices! Love this place!
