Hy-Vee Grocery Store

"Better than Dillons" isn't exactly high praise, but it is nonetheless true. It's not saying a whole lot, though. We used to have nice things: 24 hours, Caribou Coffee, classy staff, delicious in-house food...all gone. Now we've joined the lowest tiers of society with short hours, Starbucks, sassy staff, and barely passable food. The only good things left are the pharmacy and the periodic cheap meals for special occasions. The prices are okay, certainly not the best. They have products that others don't, but they lack many more products that others have, forcing me to go to Dillons anyway. I know we can have nice things again, so I'm holding out.

I always get my meat from HyVee. Also you should check out their Market Grill dinner deals from 4 to 7 ...different dinners every night. They also have a great craft bakery that makes some pretty great bagette, and french loaf.

I stopped going in this store about a decade ago. Too many items don't have a price on them. One of the employees told me I have to carry them up front and scan them to get the price. Like I'm going to do that. However there one of the only places in town that have gas without additives. They also have a good system for putting air in your tires with no charge.

Being from Texas I wasn't really familiar with Hy-Vee. But each time I shop there I'm impressed with the bargains and prices. Walmart , Dillons/ Kroger I'm finding I can get more bang for my buck at Hy-Vee!

Wont take SUBWAY coupons. Sooooooooooooow service. They spend all their time taking care of online orders and leave people standing who got out in 20 degree weather and actually came to the store to eat. When i asked them what was taking so long, the girl said, "you dont like it, go to McDonalds across the street and eat". So we did, and so did 3 other people. This place could teach a Master Class on "how to lose customers and kill profits in 1 easy step"

Waste of time when they have a sale as when I get there their shelves are empty. Happens most times, because of my schedule I can't get there until mid afternoon. Example is last week one day sale on salads. Bu 2:30PM the shelves were empty and I bet there was stock in back, but nobody keeps stock. Or maybe they have a sale with just a few available hoping you buy something else. This has happen several times before and they always have excuses. BTW food court use to be good- not anymore and lots of trouble with their pop machine. Doubt I will go back.

First time at HyVee and was definitely impressed! Very clean, professional staff, wide selection of freshly prepared food options in addition to a well stocked grocery store. Sure wish they would open up in Colorado!!!
