Culture Shock

One time i was at the first colony location. I heard a guy go up to one of the employees and ask "hey i wanna start playing a tcg. Whats a good one to get into?" The employee responded with "well obviously new hot game that everyone’s is playing is dragon ball fusion strike" Thats when i chimed in and said "listen man,, I’ve been to dozens of card shops and local game stores all around the country. I’ve never seen ANYONE play fusion strike. Some people collect, but I’ve never seen anyone play" The assumption that i take away from this is they care more about moving old product than they do about being honest. Wouldn’t trust these guys as far as i can throw them. Also i have a theory that they weigh their lose packs. No evidence for this, but between me and all the people i know, hundreds of packs have been bought. None of us got any good hits. That could just be the odds, but thats why i said it’s just a theory. Also they sell their stock for OVER market price, which is already 2x msrp on average. Scammy ALSO they sell lil freebie stuff like pokemon posters that come in boxes for like 15 bucks. Scammy I gave them 2 stars bc they seem pretty legit with their vintage games. Have testing consoles in the back. I took a game once bc i had problems with it and they let me change it out no problem. Fast and friendly process with that That being said, i wouldn’t give these guys another dollar and i do not suggest you do

January 11th, 2026. The two guys working here are completely rude. I encourage everyone to read the low/negative reviews and the experiences & interactions are all the same. To management or the owners…I highly encourage you change your employees and provide better training to the new staff. I’d rather you higher local high school kids who you can pay at a lower rate then the two large men who act like children.

I love coming to this store. They are always so helpful whenever I need info on Pokémon sets, or statues of my favorite anime. The atmosphere is very nice to come back to also. I would do more stars if I could.

The staff really informative about Pokémon cards. Gave me information about what's new and what's trending. Also picked up some cool snacks i never seen before. Will be back soon!

Store is really awesome. Has a lot of cool things that I remember playing and watching when I was younger. Store is spacious and looks like a good place to hang out, play board games, and break open card packs

Culture shock has upgraded! More space, more inventory, better location If you're looking for retro games I'm the sugar land area, there's no better spot right now!

These guys are awesome I did a trade here and I'll do many more now that I know they carry retro games. The store layout was so cool I was in here for almost 2 hours. I couldn't stop finding cool stuff to buy. Thank you David and Lance!!! -mike
