Excellent customer service. Little bit pricey. Some of the same products sell for 3 times less half a mile down the road at the hardware store.
This is the best of the place. to getting some things just for the hunting..and then if you want the outdoor stuff. That's will be the best way to go getting the stuff. As well too
Great staff and selection of products. Whether fishing, hunting or hiking, this store has what you need.
Worker told me from a far distance that there’s a changing room MULTIPLE times when I wasn’t removing any clothes…I was trying on jackets…in an empty store…Super weird, ruined my experience, and made me want to leave.
Bad store don’t recommend the gun counter is full of snakes they made me buy a gun with the sight for a "manager’s special" and they but the sight on wrong and then the snake took my sig sticker out of the case I don’t trust this store at all and will no long give them my business
- [ ] Still beside myself with how I was treated at this location. Purchased a pole three weeks prior from this location only to have it snap on the Kenai. I figured I’d walk across the street and see if they could remedy the situation, figured it didn’t hurt to ask. First cashier I spoke to was extremely passive, blatantly ignoring me when I’d ask questions. The entire time talking to her I remained cordial and agreeable only for her to sigh, ignore my questions and make me feel like a complete nuisance. This cashier was probably in her early 20’s, wore glasses, wavy blonde/ginger hair. I empathised for how busy they were but I was genuinely so confused by her behavior. After talking with her manager Christy (who was super helpful and great!) her manager offered to give me in-store credit. Awesome, this is great! Except for the pole I purchased was originally $170 and was currently on sale for $140. The cashier then proceeded to put $140 on a gift card and ignore me when I asked if she could talk to the manager about making sure I got in-store credit that reflected how much I initially spent. She then continued to ignore me while I talked to her and handed me the gift card with $140 on it. I then asked if I could speak to a higher up to make sure this was remedied when she audibly sighed turned her back on me and then asked for her manager. She continued to not make any eye contact with me and had her back towards me as she waited for her manager to help. While we waited (my best friend was accompanying me) I decided to run to the fishing section to see if they had any fly rods left. Unfortunately the one I previously purchased was sold out and the only ones left were between $230-300 which means no matter what I’d still have to pay additional money. I ran back to the front and was met with an aggressive "oh are you the friend??". Michael, another manager began explaining store policies in a VERY hostile manner. I again was so genuinely confused because I was remaining very cordial, patient and agreeable. I then told Micheal that I was sensing some hostile energy from him. His disposition then changed to something more pleasant and he began to listen to my concerns. While I was grateful that he was starting to hear me out, I felt incredibly disrespected and discouraged by everything that had just happened. Come to find out, when I had went to look at fly rods, Micheal had also been extremely hostile to my best friend when she was voicing her concerns. At one point, she offered to Micheal that we could just take the fly rod and dispute the issue in Anchorage (since it was super busy and it was causing a lot of issues). He then motioned to the fly rod and said "So this is OURS now, and this is YOURS (motioning to the gift card) you do not own this fly rod anymore." I couldn’t believe this had occurred when I was only gone for a minute or two. Micheal then asked Christy to assist with the dispute. Christy was incredibly professional and apologised for the issue and happily refunded the full $170 to the original card I used. I am so grateful to Christy who despite the high-volume was calm, professional and helpful. To Micheal and the original cashier that originally helped me, I empathise for how busy your workplace was on Friday, but I encourage you to do better in the future. This was the worst customer service experience I have ever had in my life. I have never had anyone ever treat me like that at any store. It’s completely normal to get stressed out at work when it’s busy but mistreating others will not make your workday any easier nor make you feel better.
