They have poor customer services when it came to my (African American) experience. The store associates did not greet when I entered the store. They reached all across me while I was trying to review my selections. They did not acknowledge or inquire about my store experience at the register. I thought I was overreacting so I waited to see if they would greet the WHITE customer and of course they did with huge smiles. My dollar is green just like everyone else. I traveled out of town to shop here and I solemnly promise not ever make that mistake again. I really wish it wasn’t like this any more but hate and fear will always have a home. Thankfully there are other records to spend my money on in the area. The staff at Deep Grooves Records are great and they have a better selection.

Wonderful music and record shop that has been a Richmond Staple for decades. A vast array of vinyl, and memorabilia. They also buy records as well. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff.

Great place with very good variety of records from all genres. Maybe a bit messy if you want a bit more strategic crate digging, but the people working there are great in providing help. Try also their discgogs page, as many of the records that are there cannot be found in the crates.

Genre don't matter in this record (and CD, DVD, cassette) store that has something for any one looking for good music. Knowledgeable and friendly staff have posted recommendations throughout and are available to help. Used items include rare finds and popular favorites and the new selection includes imports.

I've found Curtis Harding and The Black Pumas limited edition version, and a few posters, it was definitely good to look around and to shop, without having to rush, you definitely need a day or two to really find what you want, because whatever you're looking for.... Very cool record store, massive selection of records. Parking garages are nearby and reasonably priced. I attended a listening party and it was very well organized and the staff were super welcoming.

One of the best selections of vinyl -used and new - in the RVA area. Also, the DVD/Blu-Ray selection is good as are the CDs. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and they live digs!
