Deep Groove Records

This is an absolutely fantastic record store! Despite the small size, they never fail to constantly have an outstanding selection in rotation. They are highly selective about what they will sell, but you can easily buy a great album for three fifths if not half the price you would otherwise be paying at Wax Moon. It also greatly helps that the employees never fail to brighten your day when you visit.

A great little long standing local record shop in Richmond Owner Jay and his crew are so nice and they always offer great prices on new and used vinyl. It is a rather small and cozy shop, but I always seem to find lots sweet deals. Check them out, I promise you, you will not be disappointed.

Visiting from out of town, I stopped by and left with some gems. The shop has a welcoming vibe, with a layout and selection that feels carefully curated. The shop clerk even shared some local tips when I asked about local dinner spots. One of those tips, Kuba-Kuba, turned out to be exactly the right call for dinner. This is the kind of shop that makes a city feel cozy and lived in. I’d happily come back anytime.

I had an amazing experience at Deep Groove Records on N Robinson! As a huge fan of Vampire Weekend, I was delighted to stumble upon Discovery's LP, which I never even knew was available on vinyl. I had just popped into the store to explore, and there it was, priced at only three dollars! Needless to say, I couldn't resist the fantastic deal. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, creating a welcoming atmosphere for music enthusiasts like me. I appreciate the wide selection of records they have, making it a perfect spot for vinyl collectors and music lovers of all kinds. Finding this gem at such an affordable price made my day, and I'll definitely be back to explore more musical treasures at Deep Groove Records. Owner was super rude to me while I was checking out. He seemed like he was just looking to start an argument for no reason. So I just left without finishing the purchase. Never returning.

Just the best place for obscure finds with really friendly, engaging staff. They're all super passionate about music, and the prices are fair asks. I even learned that you could put in a request for a specific record they may not have in store and will order it for you. Overall, amazing way to spend your afternoon!

Amazing independent shop - Great selection, reasonably priced and owner Dave is friendly and was cool to talk to. As a former record store employee for many years it's always nice to have conversations about music and the business of selling records to someone in the record store world.
