Old Market Candy Shop

Old Market Candy Shop is such a fun stop. The shop is adorable and packed with options, from classic jelly beans to prepackaged treats and custom candies made in-house. The selection is impressive, and everything is priced by the pound, which makes it easy to mix and match. They even offer samples, which is a nice touch. Being connected to an ice cream shop makes it even better. A must-visit if you’re in the Old Market and have a sweet tooth.

If i could give Mike 1,000 Stars I would. I called in a last second request with 3 hours until I needed our sweet treat for a Harry Potter Party.. Chocolate Frogs, IFKYK. He was so kind and friendly. He didn't have them on hand but without skipping a beat he said "I HAVE THE MOLDS!" and he poured us a tray. Mike made it possible for my kids to have a core memory made this weekend, and I owe it all to Old Market Candy Shop!

After a living in Omaha for most of my life, I can't believe I haven't visited this place before. Such a charming little shop full of sweets. They have so much variety of chocolates to choose from. I picked up some chocolate covered pretzels, (milk, dark and white chocolate) and a few other pieces, including a chocolate truffle. I am already planning on returning. I highly recommend this place to any chocolate fan!

This is the best candy store in Omaha. Being an "elder millennial" raised in the Old Market by my cool older sister, this place is very dear to my nostalgic heart. Recently my husband and I had the privilege of meeting the owners, and much like the staff they employ, they were truly lovely people. OM Candy’s forefront is spotless, well organized, and places a big emphasis on hand crafted confectionary delights. While you will find a nicely diversified selection of items not made in house to appease sour candy folks, the real star of the show is the enormous display case filled with beautiful chocolates. Frequently upon visiting, you are able to see staff hard at work making chocolates through their kitchen area window—and I feel like this just isn’t something one gets to see very often. It’s a very refreshing experience. Bury me with the mudballs, though I will accept the caramel cashew clusters in their stead. If you’re local, or a visitor with a sweet tooth, this is the place. And be sure to pop by Tennenbaum’s Christmas Shop next door—same owners, wildly different theme, and extremely cool!

I love their homemade candy. Their mudballs are insanely good. My husband and I always go here for dessert after dinner. We’ve been coming here since 2013 just for the mudballs!

This place was so cute. The staff was very nice and friendly. Their ice cream was very good and they have also very delicious desserts. It is a truly authentic italian candy shop. Try the canoli.

The staff is amazing, genuinely great staff. The ice cream is just regular soft-serve and I would hope that chocolate soft serve would be possible. The flavor swirls weren't for me. The price however is great.
