Thyme & Season

We've shopped at Thyme & Season several times when we're passing through Hamden, and we're always impressed with the variety of local products they carry. We know anything we buy from here is always top quality! The staff has always been welcoming, and we feel good shopping local here.

I have been coming here since I was a baby! 3 decades! They are, and have always been, amazing. Reasonably priced, wonderful sales, diverse products and selection. They support local businesses and share some delicious local foods - bread & chocolate bread can always be found in our cart when we shop here! Their nutritionists are so incredibly insightful and helpful. I couldn't tell you how many times I've gone in and they've helped me beyond belief! They have every supplement/vitamin/mineral you could ever need! 10/10. Now I bring my children in and continue the tradition... I hope this place will be around for many years to come, so that one day my children might bring theirs! <3

The soups that they make homemade here daily are just amazing. In the past, I would usually not have soup on a hot day, but their soups are incredible year-round. If they’re serving the seafood bisque run, don’t walk there, you’ll thank me later.

I've been going to Thyme & Season's since they opened, which is now almost 30 years ago. We have spent ALOT of money here between supplements and food. Today, my wife and I had a somewhat rude experience from one of the teenager girl's working there. We went to give her change for our order and she said "too late, I already closed the drawer." Lol. Too late? Honestly, I was so shocked, we just grabbed our bag and left. I guess when you work somewhere and have nothing to lose (when you're not the owner), you don't care that much about customer service. We will never come here again! I think whoever is doing the hiring needs to be mindful of hiring very young staff in the future.

Great local products. Raw milk, great cheese and absolutely fantastic veggies. Pretty crunchy overall. Still has some fake stuff but definitely the best spot around

I was so excited to come here. First time going to a bulk store. Did a bunch of "research" on their "shop online" website. Made a list of all the things I'd need. But /there's more/ guys! Coffee, tea (of course I'd find the tea). There's little baggies and pens and easy instructions, even for those who are nervous (hi). The downside, all the bulk bins are towards the back of the store. First aisle on the left, all the lentils, oats, grains, beans, snacks (no picture because there were other people). Next aisle in the back, all the culinary stuff, spices, herbs, etc. Including some stuff not on the website. Next aisle in the back (2nd from the right) has a coffee wall and a tea wall. Guess what? Not on the website. Edit: the 4 not a 5 is because of the bulk sections being so spaced out and, for my own research pre-shopping, not everything is on the website. Editx2: a good portion of the parking lot is dirt and gravelly so if you can redneck/country park, you're clear.

If I could leave zero stars, I would. I had a very disappointing experience with an employee named Vicky. I was with my family and tried to ask her a simple question, but she completely ignored us, kept walking, and even went out of her way to avoid us when she came back. Her behavior was extremely rude and unprofessional. This kind of attitude is unacceptable and left a very negative impression. I hope management takes this seriously.
