ShopRite of Hamden

I have been a shopper in the Hamden store since it opened. Know most of the employees and talk to them all the time. Very friendly and helpful. Recently due to a medical condition I find myself in need of an electric scooter to shop. In the beginning there were 4 scooters"I always shop early Saturday morning. In the last 4-5 months it went down to 1 working scooter. I started going to another store farther away but kept calling Hamden and asking about the scooters. I would be told we have 3 working by managers that I requested to talk too. I would make plans for a ride there only to find out only 1 was working. 1n a 2 month period at least 3 trips there after being told by managers we have 2 or 3 working. Only to have to leave and go 3 cities away and bother the person taking me. For at least the last 3 months 2 were stolen and 1 broken and waiting for parts. I have called corporate many many times and discussed this matter over at least a 4-5 month period. To me it shows a serious disconcern for the handicapped consumers in this demographic area. I was told by corporate to contact Harry Garafano personally and discuss this matter with him. I'm waiting for a call to see if there is any corporate concern about this situation dealing with physically handicapped individuals. Patiently waiting for call. My last phone call to this store spoke to manager Collin and was told they only have 1 that has been working for a long time. The other 1 in the store is broken. They ordered parts but got the wrong ones so had to order again. Why all the different stories from different people. And what about the massive inconvience I have gone through as a consumer for a companies store and employees I care about.

I had an issue yesterday with the bottle return. The machine never gave my ticket. What should have been a quick fix ended up being a really rude encounter with the staff. They kept calling Stephen from maintenance and he never came out after 20-25 minutes. I went back in to ask for help and the ladies at customer service were incredibly rude about it. I'm probably never going back to the store this was my final straw. It shouldn't have been a big deal and it ended up being very humiliating.

I loved my time at this ShopRite today. I needed specialized assistance and found myself at the customer service desk with the representative Nicole. She was extremely sweet and understanding, helping me with my endless questions. Very polite and made my shopping experience wonderful!

Terrible experience at this place and will never set my foot over here again. Bunch of lazy workers who don’t care about the business at all. I was here yesterday at around 8pm to get two cakes that are shown on the display. There was no one stationed over in bakery but plenty of staff working on nearby areas. Non of them helped me out to get this saying that they are not assigned for bakery. Come on, I mean it does not take a few minutes to put these two cakes in box and give it to us. I had to go to front cashiers areas and speak to another two staffs and one lady (middle aged) probably the supervisor announced on intercom requesting some one to help me out. I spend totally around 20 mins at the store and no one helped me out at all. Spoke to many staffs walking by including the supervisor lady who came by and they all refused to help out. Disappointed I left the store with no cake and had to go to stop n shop and get the cakes. This place is a joke. Staff is unhelpful at all.

Tried to use my united healthcare otc card and wasn't able to use it either because shoprite doesn't honor it or employees don't know what they are doing. Will never go back again.

My experience at this ShopRite was extremely pleasant. I had trouble with an order of mine, and when I approached the Customer Service desk Nicole was very kind and helpful and was able to assist me with the next steps. This ShopRite isn't the closest store to me, but due to this experience today I'll be going out of my way to return in the future. Amazing job Nicole and her crew, keep it up!

This is what you get when they charge you for some bags that’s thinner than multipurpose low quality printer paper. You get a senior having to pick up all of their grocery off of the ground hoping someone will be kind enough to help pick them up and figure out how to get them into the house. Every last place on with these low grade bags, just STOP! Just don’t carry any at all. Besides that issue the, store is ok.
