This review is specifically for the Stop & Shop floral department and for Jackie the florist. My husband and I chose to get our flowers from Stop & Shop for our wedding in November, and throughout the whole process we were really impressed by how knowledgeable and professional they were! Jackie was really on top of the planning and had everything ready exactly on time. We are flower novices so we also left much of the exact details up to Jackie, and final arrangements blew us and our guests away. Every time we stopped by we also admired all of the premade arrangements the floral department had, and we would highly recommend stopping by for any of your flower needs on your weekly grocery shop!
I visit Stop and Shop three to four times a week, so I have come to recognize the familiar faces and the great service. Nate consistently stands out. He is always very pleasant, always greets me with a genuine smile, and brings an energetic presence that instantly lifts the mood. He routinely goes above and beyond to help customers, and my most recent experience makes that very clear. The day before Thanksgiving, the store was extremely busy and had completely run out of carts. I was doing my best to juggle all of my items in a hand basket, including a large twelve pack of Pellegrino sparkling water, and it was definitely a struggle. When I got to the checkout area, Nate happened to be there. Without hesitation, he stepped in to assist. He helped me bag my groceries and then went out of his way to find a cart that someone had left off to the side so I would not have to keep struggling with the heavy items. What could have been a stressful shopping trip turned into a genuinely positive one because of Nate. He elevated my experience and provided service that was noticeably differentiated. I left the store extremely satisfied and very appreciative of his attentiveness and kindness. Employees like Nate make a real difference and are a big part of why I continue to shop at Stop and Shop.
Better than other Stop & Shop stores! Great selection, very clean and staff is super nice.
The must rude service desk around. The woman made a mistake that I pointed out, she argue she was right. I presented her with proof and she told me I never told her the information she stopped me from telling her. She stayed complaining about others in line, said people like me and the other person being helped need to listen and we are stupid. I'm surprised another woman hasn't delt with her before. Sorry I went to the service desk with a problem I didn't create. Lesson learned, plenty of other grocery stores around
One time i accidentally bought lemons instead of limes and they let me switch my items for the correct product, has good and understanding customer service. I Has a good selection for the International aisle. Only nitpick is that self check out is unavailable at around 10-11pm I believe. Otherwise a good grocery store
Overall I think that this is a decent grocery store. Sadly, I think a few bad apples on your staff really ruin it! Let's talk cashiers. Oh my GAWD! I just filled out a formal complaint about Jahnia or Niy. This little girl has a nasty, rotten attitude. No customer service skills AT ALL. Management pairs her with the same guy every night and the two of them are absolutely infuriated if they have to stop laying all over the end of the bagging area gossiping and talking crap about their coworkers and actually ring out a customer. It's so unfair, isn't it? Do they understand that the pay checks stop coming if the customers stop shopping there? This has to be a management issue. You see two staff members who stand around and talk talk talk to each other through every single transaction. She doesn't say, "Hello, How are you, Thank you, please, have a good night".... NOTHING. He is at least friendly. But she's so awful. They have to know that! They have to see it! It's crazy. If your cashier cannot be bothered to say hello and thank your customers, if they cannot have the sense to not talk shit about your customers under her breath right in their faces.... then give her a toilet brush and have her clean the filthy restrooms. Then she can spit and growl behind the scenes. They have a handful of nighttime shelf stockers who are miserable human beings. I get it, ya'll have a job to do. But so do the rest of us! Mine happens to be shopping for other people late at night. If the store is open til midnight, people are going to shop there at 11:45pm. Talking crap about them being in the store and how they couldn't have come 2 hours ago, isn't appropriate. Glaring at them while they are looking at a shelf is crazy. Some of them are very sweet, they say hello and point you in the right direction if you're looking for something. They move their boxes over to let you pass. I bet you Stop and Shop management know EXACTLY who the bad apples are... think cut off sleeves and tattooed arms, middle aged white man? Ringing any bells? If you don't have decent customer service, your store will suffer. If you have openly hostile and rude staff members.... it makes for a miserable shopping experience.
Simply walked in the store. It was 815pm on 12/28/2025. Knew what I wanted. A birthday cake. Just walking in I was met with dirty looks from every staff I walked past. I started to wonder if there was a reason, but I was with my sister and she assured me I did nothing wrong. I went, grabbed the cake and left in under 5 minutes. Not sure what the problem was, but it was an uncomfortable experience.
