Hot Topic

I spent the money for a Type-O Negative Long sleeve shirt that was extremely overpriced and very very low quality. It was extremely thin and the print was really pixelated! I was a loyal customer for over 20 years and now I am never going to shop at hot topic again. I am also giving this review so that people can avoid being scammed by getting a product worth 70% less then what they are paying for. I looked up the T-shirt brand (Smart) made in Bangladesh which is the shirt brand I received and a simple blank shirt on their website cost a total of $4.00. It is unacceptable to charge $40.00 for a $4.00 long sleeve shirt and a $5.00 print job. It is a horrible scam in my opinion and I want to make sure everyone in my community knows about it. The only options I have are to mail it back or return it at the store. I would have to pay even more money for postage or spend it in gas to drive miles away to the store at Valley River Center Mall then back home again, not to mention the time it would take to do this. If you want cheap rip off shirts then Hot Topic should be your go to shop. If not, I would avoid them like the plague. I can't believe what they are trying to do too people with this garbage. I should be completely refunded all except the $9.00 it took to make the shirt.

Good selection of trendy pop culture items like earrings, t-shirts, cos-play accessories and more. Great place to pick up a gift for someone who loves anime or other popular cartoons. The sales associate had great customer service, very upbeat and friendly without being overbearing. It was nice to be given space to shop around but then also have attentive customer service if we were looking for something or had a question about an item. It seems like they always have sales or clearance items. The website is also a convenient way to shop HotTopic and I believe they can ship your purchase directly to the store or spend $60 and get free shipping.

On the pricey side but if you plan it right you can get good deals. Also it has such a variety of anime, punk, alternative,cuties stuff and graphic t-shirts to choose from. A place I can take my kids ages 10-20 and they all find something they like there.

This is the part where I get to be old and say I miss tripp pants and mall goths because both of these things have kind of died out in the culture, unfortunately. Hot Topic still has a space in my heart even with the changes it has gone through. Thankfully, it still has alt fashion people working there and plays rock music my mom would give me odd looks for listening to.

Always friendly and very helpful employees. This is the only Hot Topic I've ever been in that I can navigate most of in my wheelchair, so major points for that.

I know some people don't enjoy hottopic anymore since it strayed away from classice emo and punk for pop culture instead, but I honestly really love the store and the employees are always kind and fun to chat with.

So incredibly disappointed. If I could leave 0 starts I would. My friend and I were followed around the entire store by the worker, even though we weren’t the only people in the store… The worker (we think, had short pink hair and black glasses) wasn’t even shy about it. We were followed to almost every corner of the store by the worker there who seemed to be putting merchandise away but would randomly aggressively follow us to wherever else we headed to. It was incredibly uncomfortable. We were going to buy a little keychain before this all happened. Decided to just leave instead from how awkward this interaction was for us. It felt racially motivated as both of us are people of color, and the rest of the people in the store were white and didn’t receive the same treatment as us.
