Golden Villa Farmers Market

I went there on Saturday! It was GREAT! I was kind of skeptical that it was going to be open because it was very dark and foggy. But it was, the place has amazing prices, mostly Asian food but still! Are you telling me that I can take a big a*** cilantro for only one dollar! This place is amazing haha. It is a little bit dark but it is a vibe! Maybe also because it is the beginning of winter! It is not super fancy either. You have to go there to support the farmers and because of the great prices❤️

This market opens at 5:30 am and runs till until 10:00 am or so every Saturday. Usually after 9 am, a lot of the vendors have already run out of produce or food to sell. It is a good idea to go there before 8:00 am for a good selection of seafood and groceries. Coming here to buy Asian groceries is definitely less expensive than going to markets like 99 Ranch Market, Lion, SF Supermarkets, Marina. I can buy a weeks of groceries for much less than from the traditional brick-and-mortar supermarkets. There is a great selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, seafood, Asian breads, as well as prepared foods here. Also, there is plenty of free street parking close by.

Come early Saturday mornings for the best selections of fresh fish, fruits and vegetables. The market energy of vendors and their patrons are quick-paced to make a quick buy or sell. It appears cash is the only currency here. I walked just a few short blocks from Civic Centre to the Asian Farmers Market location underneath the crosstown freeway, Hwy 4 in downtown Stockton.

This market is a gem in Stockton! There are many vendors, and they have such beautiful, local produce! It doesn't get better than that! If you use a wheelchair or a walker, parking might be a bit of a challenge unless you arrive early enough. Other than that, I believe that it would be easy to access this market if you use a wheelchair, or a walker, but assistance from another person would be best.

Best deal for seafood and typical Asian vegetables. A whole big bag of fish cost $16.00, normally the cost of one fish is how much it'll cost at a restaurant. There are also fruits and bread for sale. Great prices too. If you're hungry for a snack they have some food trucks too. Just be sure you have a mask and gloves. Good idea to bring your bag and cart.

Best of the best venders are so helpful. The quality of veggies is unlike what you will find anywhere else at great prices. I've been coming here for years. Love it here
