Tamara is a fantastic dermatologist. She always takes the time to explain your condition and offer various treatment options. She walks through the whole process with you and answers all your questions. I saw progress with my condition after her treatment. She is friendly, knowledgeable and relatable.

This office always gets me in on time and sometimes a little early. Wendy is so kind and patient. She’s is very thorough and personable and always listens to my concerns. Shout out to the ladies in the office pharmacy. They made my day so much better with their compassion and knowledge!

My experience in the office was great. I asked for a quote on mole removal and when the doctor heard my reasoning for removal she said oh that'll be covered. Now after paying east valley dermatology hundreds for their fees which I was already surprised to see but paid because it was reasonable and thought it was settled. I now receive another surprise $200 bill from some pathology company they outsourced to (news to me I thought I was paying the dermatologist hundreds to examine it, what am I paying east valley dermatology for then?) This procedure I was told should be covered has cost now cost me almost $500 out of pocket. I can't do business with people who aren't transparent about their billing practices so I won't be returning

This provider codes my annual skin cancer screening as a generic "office visit" rather than the head to toe skin cancer screening that it is. Their refusal to use a screening billing code cost me $200 in lost matching funds from my employer for preventative examinations. The only excuse I was given was that they do not use preventative billing codes. Instead, they suggested that I go to a general practice doctor for a skin cancer screening, yet East Valley is dermatology center. Ridiculous that they will perform a skin cancer screening, yet not accurately bill it as such. FOLLOW-UP (11/4/2025): the response from the provider was to contact their billing department (see below), but that is the person who refused to help me and led to my posting the review in the first place. And, that person gave the ridiculous suggestion to have my general practice doctor do the skin cancer screening after the dermatology center already gave me a screening. This is a good example of why the US healthcare system seems so dysfunctional. 2nd FOLLOW-UP (12/1/2025): my insurance carrier contacted the state of Arizona who in turn contacted East Valley Dermatology Center who then redid the billing so that it reflected the correct billing code for services rendered. Once that happened I was able to get my full matching funds from my employer. It is just unfortunate that it took significant time and people to get to the correct outcome.

East Valley Dermatology are friendly, caring. From the time you call in for appointment to the time u see the Dr. They care about you as a person. You’re not just another patient coming through the door. Staff & doctors are on time and listens to your concerns. They will do all they can to get u in as soon as possible. They even tell u to call after 10am to see if any one Canceled that day. Now that’s Customer Service. If I could give them 10 stars I would. You won’t be disappointed if you choose East Valley Dermatology Center.

I have my serious doubts about this place. I made an appointment and started getting text messages for a completely different patient. Called and got an ‘oh sorry’. A day later got another text for the wrong name again. Sorry but I am making my appointment elsewhere. Unprofessional handling of patient information, makes you wonder what else is going on that we don’t know about with private info.

I received a call on Thursday informing me that an appointment could be scheduled for my son on Monday morning. I promptly submitted the required information on Friday morning and arranged to take the day off from work, which was not easy and was met with resistance from my employer. Unfortunately, the appointment was later cancelled without adequate notice. I was unable to answer the phone at the time due to work obligations. This demonstrates a lack of consideration for clients’ time and circumstances, particularly regarding limited paid time off. When I called to address the issue, I was met with a defensive and argumentative attitude before I had the chance to fully explain my concerns. The entire interaction was highly unprofessional and left me with the impression that the organization has little regard for the needs or time of its clients.
