Moreno & Young Dental

First and foremost, I dislike everything about the dentist. Having a few bad experiences with a couple of them, I was skeptical I could find an honest one. I picked Dr. young after reading reviews and doing a deep dive into his practice. All that considered, he’s our guy. He is an out of service provider under my medical insurance. So it actually costs me more for my family of five to go see him. My grown kids actually came from out of state for appointments. Dr. Young is so smart, professional, warm and friendly. I trust him. Oh, and his gal Beth is the best in the business.

I can’t say enough great things about Moreno & Young! I was really nervous about getting crowns done, but Dr. Young made the process so easy and stress-free. He took the time to make sure everything fit perfectly, and now I can’t believe how natural they look—I honestly wish I had done it sooner! Maria, my hygienist, is equally amazing. She always greets me with a smile, remembers little details about my life, and makes me feel more like a friend than just a patient. On top of that, she does a fantastic job keeping my teeth sparkling clean. This office truly goes above and beyond, and I feel so lucky to have found them. Highly recommend!

Disappointed with My Experience at Moreno and Young Dental I had high hopes for my visit to Dr. Moreno at Moreno and Young Dental, but unfortunately, my two appointments over the past few days didn’t meet expectations. On the positive side, the front desk staff were fantastic—very friendly, accommodating, and helpful throughout the process. I initially went in for a routine cleaning and to have two front teeth worked on: one had an old filling from Dr. Moreno, and the other had a small chip on the corner. Everything seemed to be progressing as planned until Dr. Moreno finished and asked how things felt. I noticed that one of my teeth still felt rough to the touch, both when I ran my tongue over it and when I lightly touched it with my fingernail. Dr. Moreno did a quick touch-up to smooth it out, and I went ahead with my cleaning. The hygienist, on the other hand, was wonderful—gentle and professional with great chairside manner. After the cleaning, I mentioned the roughness again, and the hygienist kindly brought Dr. Moreno back over to smooth it out. However, by this point, my interaction with Dr. Moreno felt rushed, and I felt like I was being hurried out of the chair. When I got home and was able to eat, I noticed the rough spot was still there, and the chip repair didn’t quite feel right. The shape of the filling was causing food to get stuck between my teeth, which was uncomfortable. I called the office, and they were able to get me in the next day, for which I was very grateful. However, once again, my interaction with Dr. Moreno felt rushed, and I couldn’t shake the feeling that he was treating me like an inconvenience. I mentioned the issues with just the one tooth, but when he came over to fix it, he seemed to be smoothing out both teeth, even though I hadn’t expressed any concerns about the other one. Unfortunately, Dr. Moreno's approach to treatment this time felt heavy-handed, and it caused me more discomfort than relief. I actually felt on the verge of tears during the procedure, something I’ve never experienced in a dental chair before. By the time I left, my two front teeth were in worse shape than when I arrived. I now have uneven teeth and new sensitivity that I didn’t have before. I used to recommend this office to friends and family, but after this experience, I’m afraid I can’t continue to do so. Update: They will not give a refund for poor dental work. Hasn’t been a week and Dr. Moreno’s work has damaged my existing dental work.

My husband has been coming here for over 15 years and has always loved it, so I finally made the switch, and I’m so glad I did! The dentist was so kind and did such a good job on reviewing my X-rays to me. I was so nervous for a root canal because I had such a bad experience elsewhere but he was so gentle and did an amazing job. All the assistants and staff were so kind as well. Such a great first experience!

I have been a patient of Dr. Moreno for a long time, he has just retired so I saw the new dentist, she was great. Maria has cleaned my teeth for the last 10+ years and she always does such a great job with no dental pain.

I wish I could give 0 stars I had an awful experience with Moreno & Young Dental. Due to unexpected issues at my job, I had to cancel my appointments—even after explaining my situation clearly, they showed no understanding. Instead, they were rude, dismissive, and ultimately dropped me as a patient. Life happens, and I expected at least a little professionalism and compassion, but I received none. If you value respect, flexibility, and being treated like a human being, I do not recommend going here

I've been with this office since mid-80s. These are high-end dentists but I find they will offer alternatives for those of us paying out of pocket on a budget. Be sure to ask. And be sure to show up regularly for your preventive care. It makes ALL the difference.
