Yakima Valley Karate

Yakima Valley Karate has truly been an amazing experience for our family. The instructors and training facilities are absolutely incredible! Jake and Becca run a wonderful dojo who genuinely care about the kids and their growth. My son has been training here for almost two years, and we’ve seen so much progress, not just in his skills, but in his confidence and discipline. The class times work well for our schedule, and we love the occasional fun Friday that they offer as a parent's night out. We absolutely love being part of this dojo community and are so grateful we found Yakima Valley Karate! 🫶

My son has been attending class for 6 months and has improved not only his Karate skills, but also listening, patience, and encouraging of others. I've really appreciated the owners help navigating getting him started as this is his first sport he's signed up for. He has always looked forward to class. Yakima valley karate is one of the best choices I've made for my son's education. I couldn't ask for better teachers of martial arts than Jake Cowan and Becca Crabtree. I've watched them interact with my boys and the other students over the last 2 years. I couldn't be more pleased. They are firm, fair and genuinely interested in each student. The training rooms and equipment are well maintained and spotless.

If I could give more stars, I would! This dojo is on a whole different level. The instructors aren’t just great—they’re exceptional. Jake and Becca have been teaching my kids for almost two years, and their dedication shows in every single class. They’ve supported my kids through both ADHD and autism with patience, understanding, and an incredible ability to meet each child exactly where they are. The growth we’ve seen—confidence, focus, discipline, excitement to learn—has been unbelievable. This isn’t just a karate dojo… it’s a community that lifts your kids up, believes in them, and helps them become the best version of themselves. Both me and my son both attend valley karate school. I absolutely love them. Sensei Jake and Becca are incredibly kind are sweet. They are great with all types of kids. They have a great knowledge of martial arts and are great at building enthusiasm for the art.

Very friendly and welcoming dojo. My daughter is excited for class and is learning a lot. Karate is teaching her discipline, self-defense, hard work and respect. I would recommend this dojo to anyone.
