Amazing place to train! I started training in my mid 40s and everyone in the gym has been so welcoming and supportive of my BJJ journey. I would highly recommend training at URJ because of Professor Ururahy, coach Oscar, and coach Ari. If you are wanting to get into the best shape of your life, learning defense techniques, and connect with other likeminded people then this is the place for you! Also, the kids classes are engaging and fun.

Great environment! Wonderful place to train in Yakima. Owner is very kind and the professor is very knowledgeable. Room is full of high level and no ego. Come train!

Having trained at another (awesome) gym before coming here, I felt immediately welcomed and loved having all the different available times to train to fit my ever-changing schedule. Being able to have my kids with me all the time is a MUST, and professor, Coach Jen, and Coach Oscar are the absolute best. The instruction is top notch, nobody’s trying to kill you, and the mats are always clean and ready to go for the jujiteiro looking to improve their game. Super grateful for URJ.

I truly love this gym and all the people that train here. Professor along with everyone (Bjj Bros) that train here helped me in so many ways. In 5 months this gym helped me lose nearly 100lbs and I’m loving it. My body feels better and my mind feels healthier. Thank you URJ BJJ.

I went to Chess Lab Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gym in Yakima Washington The team was superb and the format amazing. Every aspect of the drop-in for me was spectacular starting from the warm -up routine through the live roll warms-ups and also the live rolling with the team(which had excellent morale). I felt extremely welcomed and learned techniques from the team. THANK YOU ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Professor Ururahy was my professor as a purple belt I got silver at the world championships. He was my professor as a brown belt and I got gold at the world championships. This is no coincidence the entire time I can't remember even getting to a good position on him much less winning a roll. He's incredible as a person and an instructor. I'm proud to call him a friend and anyone going to his gym is extremely lucky to have someone with such a love for jiu jitsu and his students. I cannot recommend a better instructor.

Excellent Jiu Jitsu class taught by a legitimate black belt professor. Students are all welcoming and respectful. Tough rolls and great workout! Definitely will be returning! OSS! 🤙
