Hair Tech Salon

I had an appointment with my regular salon, but it was canceled. It was already past time for a cut. I had walked past this salon several times and saw an offer of $20 for new clients and they accept walk-ins. Sounded good. Except they don't answer the door. I had to come back 3 times. Finally, they let me in. I went with freshly washed hair so she could see the wave pattern in my hair, and told her I had just washed it. I assumed she could wet it down if needed. She insisted on washing it again. The haircut was OK. I told her what I wanted and relied on her expertise for feedback. She insisted on seeing a picture of what I wanted. I wear a bob. You need to see a picture of a bob? I just asked for more texture. I am also trying to grow out my bangs which were hanging in my eyes. She said you'e growing out your bangs, so we'll leave them. Fine, but could she have trimmed them or blended them in? No. I cut my bangs myself. The $20 haircut ended up being $40 because she CHARGED ME $20 TO WASH MY HAIR, and didn't tell me until AFTER she charged me. They have since changed their sign, so others must have complained, as well. DO NOT GO THERE. There are many other options in the area. I still would have gone if the advertised price was $40. I DO NOT appreciate being taken advantage of.

Gloria is a wonderful hairstylist! Was in desperate need of a haircut and she really delivered. Genuinely one of the best haircuts I’ve gotten I feel so confident. 10/10 would recommend.

I was long overdue for a cut, and I lost my voice that weekend. My regular salon couldnt hear me over the phone, so I walked over to hair tech. 13$ for a great cut, Gloria followed the style I had- i have very long hair, just below the bust- and she did a great job with layers and styling. She only comes on Saturdays, which works for me. The place is clean and no frills, as the others have mentioned, but they work to make sure you have the hairstyle you want. I also came in when I wanted to do a donation for my hair. I have to say these ladies really know what they are doing, my hair looks fantastic every time I leave. they even make sure that the hairstyles grow out well, since I cut my hair rarely, like every 3-6 months. They have a loyal customer in me!

If you want to come out of the hair salon looking like a clown, I recommend you come here. This place has no idea what they are doing with hair. The guy messed up my lining and so much of my hair is cut off when I literally told him not to cut the top of my hair. I did not pay bc of how bad my hair looks now. They wanted to charge me $50 for a haircut that I did not like. Save yourself the time and money and don’t bother coming here. Aka not a fake account.

I had such a wonderful experience here! I found them on Groupon and after I sent photos of my hair, they looked at the length, texture, and past colors to determine an additional cost to the Groupon, which was totally reasonable. They sort of base the price off of your hair, so make sure to discuss what you want in detail and understand the approximate price you'll be paying beforehand. Gloria was so friendly and helpful! Her and Hector teamed up to do a full highlight on my head and were so quick and professional. The balayage was EXACTLY what I wanted; it blended with my natural color perfectly. I've found my go-to salon!

This doesn’t even deserve a 1 star rate. My hair came out looking worse than when I came into the salon. The lady was extremely rude too. I did not pay either because she did not listen to what i asked for. She then said she was going to call the cops bc I did not want to pay. I told her go ahead I’m sure anyone would not pay for a service they did not like. Do not waste ur time coming here.

Called ahead of time to make sure I wouldn't be keeping any dressers in late as they were closing in an hour. I live in the building and headed down for a quick trim. Dresser was impatient and super rude, gave me a terrible haircut. The chunks of hair went flying so aggressively I knew from the start I was really in for it. My bangs are completely lopsided, I have an extra inch of length behind my left ear and behind my right is short. I could've cut my hair more evenly myself without a mirror. It's whatever, I often rock a messy look bc I'm on a budget but here's the kicker, I went to pay $35 as advertised for a short cut and I was charged $50. She spent 20 minutes on my hair (no kidding) and I was charged almost double what is advertised. I'm reverting to a buzz because it's so bad and negotiating was impossible once overcharged. Terrible service especially for a potential repeat customer as I live in the building.
